I rely heavily on "to do" lists and honestly don't think I could live without them. Sometimes though, when the to do list overwhelms me, I start an "I did it" list. I write down everything I do during the day. It sounds a little cheesy, but at the end of the day (or sometimes even by noon) I am amazed at all I have done. The little things of life do take up time and add up.
Reviewing the list, when the day is done, can help you learn how to prioritize your daily goals and give you a realistic picture of how you use your time.
Try it, you just might be amazed to see where all your time goes.

Seems like a time waster to me...
1I don't make "I did it" lists, but sometimes if, when I'm making my to-do lists and I find it overwhelming, I'll purposely write a few things down that I already did. That way I get to cross them off right away and see that I have gotten some things done. I think it helps a little bit.
2What a great idea! I feel like I'm always dwelling on what I haven't achieved - it would probably help to start reminding myself of what I've already done!
3I can't live without my little planner where i do "to-do" lists but as for "I did" lists..I dont think it would be necessary on my part since I usually have a journal/blog where I write and reflect on my day which I find more beneficial. ^_^
4great concept! i'll have to try this sometime
5I'm big on to-do lists at work. I LOVE getting things crossed off.
6I do that sort of. I have a spiral bound aluminum journal that I call my "List Book". It sits on my desk at work. The pages are unlined. I make my TO DO list every morning, but I add EVERY LITTLE THING to it. If someone leaves me a message, I add "return Mary's message" to the bottom of my list, even if I am doing it right away. Even "Take lunch break" and "get some water" are on my list. The satisfaction of crossing things off my list is awesome.
7Great idea! Let us do something positive and non critical of our time!
8That is a good idea. This isn't something I would do regularly, but sometimes when I get stressed, I think it would help to remind me that I'm not useless.
9good idea!
