Huge Personal Trainer: Motivating or Intimidating?

I've been having myself a chuckle (ok, a few chuckles) over recent pictures of Ginger Spice and the Hulk, ahem I mean Gerri Halliwell and her personal trainer. Gerri is definitely looking toned lately so he must be working well for her, but I am curious what you guys think - Would having a seriously pumped-up personal trainer be motivating or intimidating?

hes probably a good 2 feet infront of her, making him look even bigger. Id say hes around 6'1-6'4 and 250-280 depending on how tall she is.

OK this pic was really freaking me out so I looked up her height. She is either 5 foot and a half inch or 5 foot 1 and a half inch (depending on the source) So I took the pic into photoshop and arraged it so that one foot equalled one centimeter (using her as the guide) to try to figure out his height. It came out at like 6.4cm . . . I dont know anyone that tall :) but if this pic isnt photoshopped maybe it's normal to get that big at his size? Still damn scary though.

i am not sure how motivating the look of steroids is but he must be doing something right! i wonder how his cardio is? we know he can lift weights but can he run?

Pretty intimidating ... but then again, I once had a male personal trainer who weighed less than I did, and that was even MORE intimidating!

It depends... am I working out in an area where I expect to get mugged and need a bodyguard more than a trainer?I think men with muscles that large look pretty silly. There's healthy and toned, and then there's ridiculous.

I dunno this guy looks like he's CGI instead of a real man. Maybe he looks so big because Gerri is so small. I think I would just break out into fits of laughter if he were my personal trainer!

He would just go nothing for me, nothing at all. I'm more about balance. I work out with weights but I also stretch a lot and I am attempting to build up my cardio endurance.... he just looks big.

Seeing that i don't want to be a bulky guy i don't think his physique would effect me either way. I think what makes a good personal trainer is knowedge and personality- one who can adapt to what style works with me. SO i think it's a trainers attitude that is intimidating...i mean it's not like he is going treach over a beat you up while you work out. So as long as he understands her goals and helps her achieve them he could be juiced out of his face or skinny as a pencile.
