The biggest event is just around the corner for the hottest bodies in Hollywood, the Oscars. Get the scoop on how the stars get in shape and what you can do to get a red carpet celebrity bod like Rooney Mara and Michelle Williams. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo's Rooney Mara worked out non-stop with kickboxing.
I spent so much time on this film naked, and I had to just be really comfortable with that right away.
With the number of nude scenes she had to do, it's no wonder she spent countless hours with her trainer. Kickboxing is one of the best ways to burn calories. It's a full-body cardio workout and it certainly paid off. Rooney wowed us on the red carpet at the Golden Globes with her toned arms and back.
Emma Stone lost the weight she gained on the set of The Help in time to hit the red carpet, combining her rock climbing sessions with Pilates and weight training. Pilates elongates and stretches the muscles boosting your ability to gain strength and when combined with weights, it's a hardcore workout guaranteed to get your upper body toned.
Oscar nominee Michelle Williams told Marie Claire that yoga made a better person and a better mother and we think yoga's probably also responsible for that lean body and amazing glow we've been seeing on the red carpet. Michelle loves yoga's more relaxing benefit so much that she started the Yoga for Single Moms Project, for those that could use a little extra healing.
Can't we all? Best supporting actress nominee, Jessica Chastain is also a fan of yoga and it's what helps her keep off the pounds for awards season according to E! Jessica had to get curvy for her role in The Help. the director, he really went to bat for me. He helped me transform, physically, you know.
I got to gain some weight.
But the long time vegan quickly worked off the weight by doing a lot of yoga. We suspect she does a more vigorous type of power yoga that emphasizes strength and flexibility. Since it can be one of the more effective workouts for fighting those stubborn fat stores.
