Even though she lives the So Cal lifestyle, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz told Women's Health that she doesn't starve herself for a Hollywood figure; she simply loves food, and one of her favorite feasts features Mexican fare. Once a week Ashlee and her hubby, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, invite family and friends over for taco night. Ashlee told the mag that she's not afraid of cheese, eats cheeseburgers with ranch dressing, and indulges in French fries. But don't spread the rumor that she's eating for two, because she's not, and Ashlee shares that she's even slimmer than ever.

She boasts about devouring whatever she wants, doesn't deprive herself of the foods she craves, and still has such a great figure. To find out what she asys is her secret, read more.
Ashlee's secret weapon is Bronx Pilates! Her 1-year-old son is in her arms all day, and carrying around that extra weight has helped to really tone her arms.
Before she gave birth, Ashlee had gained 50 pounds, and her breasts were up to a size E when she was nursing. So once baby Bronx was two weeks old, she was ready to start losing the extra pounds. A home-delivery meal plan didn't work since she's a big eater. She says, "If I want a grilled cheese sandwich, I'll eat a grilled cheese sandwich." So she turned to exercise, and with the help of a personal trainer, the new mama set up a home gym and started circuit training. Four weeks later, Ashlee had lost half her baby weight. Her diligent workouts have definitely paid off. Of course, this young actress also has her youth and genes to thank. Though she looks amazing now, Ashlee dispels the notion that her bod was a result of Hollywood stress. She says, "I wasn't in a rush to get back to this body for anyone else. It was more like, 'I wanna look good [for me]? I wanna feel good.'"
Ashlee is feeling great and very appreciative of her family and all life has blessed her with. On top of a great career and a healthy son, her hubby is a great source of comfort and support. "Pete isn't worried about stretch marks, " she says, "He always makes me feel sexy."
The way she explains it, she doesn't really do anything currently to maintain her figure. Do you believe it?

Havaianas
I really don't have any interest in what Ashlee Simpson tells the media about herself. She doesn't strike me as a particularly smart or honest person. But yeah, it's possible that she doesn't do anything to maintain her weight - she's 25 and maybe her metabolism hasn't slowed yet. But, ultimately, who cares?
1She looks quite thin to me. Almost too thin. Sorry but 50 lbs in 4 weeks is quite a bit of weight to lose.
2LaurenG22, she only claims to have lost half of her baby weight (25 lbs) in 4 weeks, which considering some of the 25 lbs was the actual baby, doesn't sound too extreme. I believe her. She doesn't say that she's stopped working out, and it's definitely possible to maintain your weight while indulging in foods you like, as long as you aren't eating huge portions of them.
3If she's as honest about her diet/eating habits as her sister, suuuure I believe her. I'm guessing she isn't quite giving out all the details on her diet/workout plan.
4No way is she telling the truth. She used to be much bigger than she is now (before she had the baby), so it is hard to believe that she had a baby recently and then dropped to a size zero by doing nothing.
5OMG I seriously want to puke after reading that.. " Oh yeah, i just do Bronx pilates" hahaha. She is so full of it. I GUARANTEE that girl doesnt just eat whatever she wants. I am 24 with a great metab and cant eat all that crap. GIVE ME A BREAK! She is a loser.
6Yeah, does anyone remember her reality show? Short-lived as it was. She was blond, and a good deal bigger than she is now. And this was long before Pete Wentz and baby. She wasn't fat--she just looked normal. Now she looks too skinny. She was on all those lists of Hollywood starlets with eating disorders and I completely believe it. Her weight has gone from normal to super-bony-skinny to this.
7uhh please. if this girl were to eat a grilled cheese sandwich, she would probably eat nothing, and starve herself the rest of the day.
8Most of these celebs have BMIs around 15 and 16...I don't know how that happens without having a health condition or eating disorder. As someone who has struggled with body image disorders, I think it's irresponsible that celebrities like Ashlee Simpson pretend that their looks/figures are attainable by healthy means and without any surgery. It has taken years for me to understand that my weight of 135 at 5'9 is thin and that 110 pounds is an unrealistic, unhealthy goal. Unfortunately, even now I get frustrated when I see these beautiful women on TV and know that I will never/could never look like that.
9Ah yes, the old "I just run around after my kid" celebrity secret to weight loss. And the cycle of making regular folks feel inferior continues! Give me a break. Celebs do tons to make sure they don't put on extra weight towards the end (like inducing at 8 mos) and they also have trainers, personal chefs. Yes she's naturally thin, but she isn't just running around after her kid.
10wasn't this the same girl who was at least 20 pounds larger on her reality show? Do I believe her? Please don't insult my intelligence.
11I don't believe she actually tells anyone this stuff or expects us to believe it. That's what her PR people are for, i.e., answering dumb media questions about her personal life and her body.
12loser. how are the simpson sister's even relevant anymore?
13She didn't "not do anything," it states very clearly in the article that she set up a home gym and hired a personal trainer. IE - she worked out for a solid month. Not that I'm advocating that, but still.
And the headline to this article is laughable. Anyone remember her show? she was very publicly on atkins back then....
14I am so disappointing for even posting this story. Ashlee Simpson is known for lying in interviews, particularly when it relates to her body. Remember the Allure article where she talked about how great she felt about herself and then she went and had a nose job!
What disappoints me the most is the comment by the Fitsugar author that, "she looks amazing now". I come to this site because it's about promoting healthy women. Ashlee looks far too thin. Complimenting her looks will only encourage women to idolize unhealthy, and unrealistic, body images.
15That's Hollywood for you... everyone loves food! They all eat what they want and only do exercise when it's fun and convenient! Yes, they've got it down to a science... please. I'd have to lose 3/4 of my brain mass to believe any of the crap they say for publicity. I at least have respect for people like Carmen Elektra who come out and say, "Yeah, it's hard to be this thin and I am always hungry and working out." These statements they make do propagate the belief that we're not "good enough" to look like them. Ladies, accept your body for what it is (NOT camera-fodder) and go out and DO something with it! You look better with a smile, even if you have a sandwich in your hand!
16my fanny pack! that girl doesn't eat
17She's definitely lying. She's so skinny it's scary, and obviously in denial about it. I'm glad she's not more popular because she is not a good role model for young girls.
18I'm sorry but she's definitely full of it, because we've all seen her natural weight (on that reality show she did a while back) and this is skeletal compared to that. She should just say nothing.
19I don't know anything (or care to) about Ashlee or her sister really, so I'm not saying she's telling the truth but please don't pass judgment on every skinny person by saying it's not possible to be thin without doing anything! I am 103 lbs and I eat anything I want, which though I have a body as slim as Ashlee's if not smaller is proven by the fact that I have 24% body fat. I'm not "skeletal" and my BMI is low, but that's because my petite frame is incapable of gaining weight. When my mom was pregnant with me she only gained 12 lbs and now at 59 she's still a size 0-2. Some people are tiny! That being said, I've never seen her reality show
(and didn't know she had one)
20No, I don't believe her. As anonymous #15 points out, she lies on interviews.
Also, as someone who exercises and who is mindful of what she eats, I know what it takes to look thin, and it isn't what she is saying.
21Once again, a horrifying skeletal figure is being pushed by "Fit"Sugar as a healthy ideal body type. Disgusting.
And before someone gets on my case about "judging someone's health by her appearance," let me just point out that none of you seem to have a problem with "judging someone's health by her appearance" when that someone is overweight.
Maybe Ashlee is healthy at that weight. Maybe some people can be healthy at that weight. The fact remains that MOST WOMEN will NEVER be able to attain that sort of figure without resorting to dangerous, unhealthy things like starvation and drugs, and a site that claims to be about fitness is doing its readers a horrible disservice by glorifying unnaturally-thin women as some kind of "fitness ideal."
22I don't believe her either.
23LOL!!! Silly Ashlee. Like I believe you. :rolls eyes:
24Seriously? This is supposed to make me motivated to go work out? Really, this is very disappointing from Fitsugar. You'd think you all would promote HEALTH and WELLNESS. Someone who is "fit" doesn't look like a strong breeze is going to break them in half. I guess bones aren't my definition of sexy. Anyone who can eat cheeseburgers and french fries "anytime I want" and looks like that either 1) doesn't ever actually eat that crap or 2) has a serious health condition. Gross
