Infomercials are hard to miss. Since I'm so obsessed with fitness, I repeatedly get sucked into watching the "one time offer" fitness gear ads. While the ones that promise that you'll "lose 10 pounds in 10 days" are completely ridiculous, but some of these gadgets actually pique my curiosity. And they're always priced just right to be on the outer edge of affordable.

Back in high school I convinced my mother we needed this Ab Roller after watching the Infomercial and I still use it. So what about you . . .

the one in this picture, though I think it was a different model. My dad bought it in the nineties. Didn't do a damn thing. I also have the ab lounge. I think it works, but only if you actually use it :P I was good with it for like a week and then . . . meh I want to get an iron gym . . not so much for the pullups but for those sling thingies so you can do the ab exercises. Sensing a trend? haha apparently I don't learn. . . .

Thanks for the review sweet n low. My man is always jumping into dorrways and doing them but his finger tips slip off. If it is that good, I will def get it for him!

I bought the Iron Gym last month to work on my chin ups, and I love it. Pulling exercises are hard to do at home, so this is a perfect companion to push-ups. At $30, it was worth it.

I have, and like lmainer i purchased the ab lounge and used it maybe 10 times (it was an ok ab workout) and then it turned into the clothing rack until we moved and I just threw it away.

They have ab rollers at the gym! They actually work pretty well, but I've never bought them myself

I don't remember the name but it was this blue ab thing that you put between your legs and then press on the bar with your chest until it compresses and the elastics stretch. Needless to say my stomach didn't have any changes let alone a six-pack. I have to say though there was this body shape diet that a friend bought on TV that did a diet based on your body shape and that actually worked (to be fair it could just be I was eating less because it was a pretty rigid structure).

Slim-in-6, Winsor Pilates, that Gunnar Peterson ball program, and the Fluidity Bar. There may be more, but that's all I can think of right now! I was an infomercial whore, but now I just bust my butt at the gym!

I am thinking nof ordering the thingy you put in the door frame that allows you to do pull ups, tricep dips, etc for my boyfriend for Christmas, but the online deals are not nearly as good as the TV ones! I have to catch the commercial again now!

I bought the ab lounge... which is now a very bulky, annoying clothing rack. I've used it maybeee.... twice? Anyone in the market for a clothing rack?

I bought Power 90 by Beachbody, Core Secrets and the transFIRMation set. The actually provide some of my favorite workouts.

I have a Fluidity bar... I used to use it all the time, until I injured my back last year. Basically anything with large movements triggers the pain, so the Fluidity (and elliptical) are on hold while I see if physical therapy can fix my back...

Well, it wasn't actually equipment, but I bought the Beachbody Slim-in-6 workout system. I'm sure it does work, but I was a beginner...it's hard to go from not exercising to exercising one hour a day, six days a week. So, needless to say, I didn't stick with it. I recently purchased an elliptical and I love it!
