Hamstrings
Definition: Hamstrings
The three muscles on that back of the thigh, when referred to as a group are the "hamstrings."
The hamstrings move both the hip and knee joints. They pull the thigh behind the body and bend the knee. People often pull their hamstrings, meaning they over stretch them, while performing activities like running or lunging. Stretch your hamstrings to prevent injury.
