Get Physical: Take a Hike
After a busy week it is sometimes hard to take advantage of together time because you might not feel so connected to your partner. It happens - the kids, careers, laundry - it all gets in the way.
My husband and I have a standing date to hike every Saturday morning. Now it might not sound as sexy like a night out on the town, but I'm here to tell you that it's great. We hang out unencumbered because the kids also have a regular Saturday play-date with the neighbor's kids. We take our dog and just walk and talk. Not only do we get a chance to exercise but we also get a chance to reconnect.
So get physical together and take a hike.
Fit's Tip: Once, we tried biking together but it wasn't as effective as we just saw each others backs as we vied for the pole position and we didn't talk much.
