Fit Tip: Push Yourself After 30 Minutes
I always try to get in my 30 minutes of cardio no matter what, but sometimes I get worried that if I push myself too much in the beginning then I won't be able to make it through the whole 30 minutes. Instead I push myself after I've completed my 30 minutes.
For example, I'll do a pretty strenuous interval run on the treadmill and then once I've finished, but before my cool down, I'll go really hard for as long as I can stand — usually a minute or so. I like to see how fast I can physically run or push myself, but I don't like the pressure of feeling like I need to keep doing it. If I've already completed the workout, then anything extra is just that, extra. Try it out and let me know what you think.
