To me, fresh apricots are a signal that Summer is coming since they're in season in North America from May through August. Sure, dried and canned apricots are available year round but they're just not the same as their fresh counterparts. Quite the nutritional powerhouse, apricots are loaded with beta-carotene, lycopene, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, fiber, and potassium. Plus they taste great too! Look for them in your local farmers market and grocery store.
