I am hosting Thanksgiving this year, and while I am truly excited to have a house full of family and friends I am already a little stressed. The things causing me grief are minor (do I have enough wine glasses and bedding, etc.) but they are starting to stack up. I could really work myself up into a tizzy if I allow my lack of preparation for Christmas to enter into my mental mix. Combine the facts that stress weakens the immune system and it is cold and flu season, I am working hard to manage my holiday stress. So tell me . . .

I would say both. At first your happy to see it coming but then the rush of shopping can be irritating. But in the end when all the store shopping and visitors are done, you can just sit back and enjoy your time off work in your own home.
1I get stressed to the max. All the shopping, pulling holiday hours at two jobs, decorating, making sure I have clothes to wear for the next few months (Xmas is during summer here and the heat comes on fast and is relentless, if you don't have a tank top, it's not much fun) and so on and so forth.
I love the holiday season but I get so stressed.
2I'm a little bit of both kinda girl.
3I love the holidays - but a few things can be stressful:
Dealing with divorced parents
Running from one family to the next
Shopping for the perfect gifts
There is also a lot of sadness when the holiday is over. That's why we end up keeping our decorations up until February... just to keep the joy around for a little longer!
The holidays only make me as stressed as I let them. I have the caveat of not living by my parents or my in-laws though and my hubby and I agreed before we were engaged that the holidays would be spent how we choose, not visiting our families. I suppose this makes us evil children but our siblings are jealous every year.
4I simplify & enjoy food, wine, decorating, & family. Materialism to me is the antithesis of the holidays- I heard last year that someone was actually trampled to death outside of Walmart around the holidays.
5My divorced parents + boyfriend's divorced parents + the fact that they're all pretty anxious naturally = HELL.
6I get two days off for Thanksgiving and 10 days off over the Christmas holidays. I love the time off from work, but the family drama really stressses me out.
7Both.
8I get stressed out, but it's a good stress. I like the end result of holiday stress a lot...seeing people's faces when they open gifts, eat a special dish I made, etc., makes it all worthwhile.
9I love the holidays but I dont think they will be much fun this year.
