Kelly Clarkson has been busting beauty myths for a while, and now she's speaking out about some hygiene habits.

In the latest issue of Blender, Kelly says that she pees in the shower and that "anybody who says they don’t is lying." This may sound a little crazy, but I have friends who were in the Navy, and they were told that peeing in the shower helps prevent athlete's foot. So what about you . . .

Yes. Of course I do. In the morning it's too cold to pee on the toilet LOL and I pee before actually washing myself in the shower. after I pee and the pee has gone done the drain then I was myself. I do it while the waters just running warm. get over it, I'm showering by myself. It would be a different story if I were to shower with someone.

I pee in the shower. It goes down the drain right away anyway. No smell. No mess. It's better than getting out, dripping water all over the floor, all over the toilet, getting the toilet paper all wet, getting water all over the floor AGAIN all while leaving the water running. You can clean yourself after much better anyway.

haha. i agree its perfectly normal. and how does it counteract the point of a shower? it's not like you're peeing all over yourself. if you think about it, it just goes right down the drain. oh what? afraid you're going to step on it? think about all the other nasty stuff you step in, it's not bad. i mean everyone is entitled to their opionion, but it just multitasking! =]]

I don't and I never have. This thread is almost shocking to me. Okay, so urine is sterile, but would you drink it? Would you pee on your living room floor? Would you water you house plants with urine? What's next?

This thread is hilarious. I do it at my house--it is environmentally friendly. I don't have an extra flush or have to use toilet paper and I do it at the beginning while I wash my hair, so I wash up afterwards. I do not do it at other people's houses or at gyms (where I always wear flip flops). I'm the only one who uses my shower and I'm not grossed out by it. I'm not sure why so many of you are repulsed by your own urine.

Why waste perfectly good water by flushing a toilet when you're going to be flushing a whole of soapy water after it anyway...?

Of course! I agree with cindubitably... it seems like it would be cleaner, and plus you help the environment out by saving a toilet flush & not using toilet paper! :)

I personally do not pee in the shower--I think it's kinda gross. I don't really care if other people choose to do it--it's their feet and shower bottom (not mine, thank god). However, I do not understand why Kelly thought she needed to announce her shower-peeing practices in Blender. Not very classy.

Cebca, i just read your comment and I swam competetively too. Just pee in the freaking pool. That's what my coach told me. I figure the chlorine, salt or whatever chemicals in the pool would kill whatever bacteria is in the pee. though now I wonder about the pee turning purple in certain pools myth. . .

I do it at home, though not in public showers. I've slipped and fallen hard when getting out of the shower for the toliet before, so now, if I need to, I just let it flow. LOL.

I DEFINITELY do. Not all the time, but if I'm showering, and I have to pee, who cares? And to all the people who are like "youre CLEANING yourself, why would you get yourself dirty by PEEING on yourself" . . .well, exactly, I can just wash myself off after. Plus, if you do it right you don't actually end up peeing ON yourself.Also, bad news for you pee-haters. I swam competetively from the age of 7-22, and if you had to pee in the middle of practice, guess where you went . . .. Think about that next time you are in a pool that hosts a swim team.

It's cracking me up that people are getting riled up over this. Lazy and stupid? Who cares? I don't care where anyone pees as long as they aren't peeing on me. And yeah, i've peed in the shower before. Commence the name calling.

WHAT!?!??!?! I had no idea this was so common. This idea has never even crossed my mind. I think its disgusting. Peeing on yourself? Just go before you get in. Are you really in the shower that long that you have to all of a sudden pee so bad you cant wait till your done? Bleh. Whatever. Do what you do, as long as i dont have to be in there after you.

i pee only before i washed my body (right after washing my hair) if I really need to go after i washed the places that the pee would go onto i get out of the shower.

why waste the water by peeing in the toilet when you can just go in the shower? i don't understand why everyone is so grossed out by their own urine. i'd rather pee in the shower than sit on a toilet seat (even my own).

Ladies, why do you act like Kelly is attacking YOU personally if you don't pee in the shower? Have you ever heard of someone make a joke like that? "Oh come on, you know you do it too." - not that uncommon. And yeah, I do pee in the shower when I can't hold it. Honestly my bladder is so small that when that happens it isn't like I had to go before I got in.

Pet peeve of mine - when someone admits they do something and then goes on to say that all who don't admit it are lying. How could you possibly know that!?
