When I was working on losing my baby weight I learned to live without a few things. One of those things was sugar in my coffee. When I was able to get back on the bean post-breastfeeding, I learned to love my coffee without adding any sweetener. I heated up the milk and started to drink my coffee cafe-au-lait style.

This habit hasn't gone away since I think of it as a great way to save calories. I'm wondering: how do you take your coffee?

Chantelle

I prefer my coffee black and hot - in a mug; better yet intravenously. *lol*
1I use splenda and add a splash of skim milk. I like to still be able to taste the dark roast though!
2i take my coffee with skim milk and stevia extract
3I actually really enjoy coffee with a little bit of caramel syrup in lieu of sugar. I'm addicted to caramel. There I said it.
4I just take it with skim milk now . . . I used to take it with creamer, I miss it!
5no sugar for me, unless it's black coffee, then I use a little sugar.
OOH I want coffee now.
6I prefer Splenda... I don't care if it's "bad for you"
7My coffee is always black and very hot!
8Black and very hot for me.
9splenda
10I only add skim milk.
11I just recently started using sugar again in my coffee, i went a year without any white sugar in anything.. cereal and such but my brother brought some with him last time he stayed and I used some, now i'm addicted again. I noticed I crave more crap too.. I really need to stop it. As I sip on this cup.. it will be my last.. mmm. maybe after this pot.
12I put cream and sugar in my coffee in the mornings. I consider it my "cheat" for the day.
13i am addicted to Equal. i have tried using sugar but it just doesn't compare to the chemically intense sweetness that aspartame packs in. no telling what's wrong with me or will go wrong, i've heard that bi-polar disorder depressive episodes are exagerated by aspartame, and i am bi-polar, but oh well. gonna die one day anyway. i also sometimes like to add a tsunami-esque splash of Jameson Irish Whiskey to my coffee in the afternoons.
14Splenda... ahem
15When at home I use sugar free vanilla creamer. When that's not available I use a little milk and splenda.
16I put warm milk in my coffee. The best tip I ever got was to heat milk for 45 seconds in the microwave in a glass jam jar. Take it out and put on the lid. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds or until it is frothy. Pour it in the coffee and you get a nice foam on top. It is like having a milk steamer without the price tag and great for making coffee at work.
17Nope, just with unsweetened soy milk.
18I take it either black or with plain light soy milk at home, but if i can spare a few calories i go for a soy misto (2/3 black coffee, 1/3 steamed soy milk & topped with foam).
19I can only drink black coffee now. I don't like to put anything in it because I can't taste the beans!
20definitely not! i hate sugar in coffee
ick
21I've converted to tea, because I only liked my coffee with artificial sweeteners and I've cut those out of my diet. I drink plain black tea every morning now.
22I rarely drink coffee. When I do, I drink it with Bailey's.
23Splenda. I'm with Sonya Ina..don't care if it's "bad for me" either!
24i drink my coffee with fat free half and half, and half sugar and half slpenda or truvia. I still feel like I'm indulging, but on a much happier calorie scale!
25I don't drink coffee.
26I too, am a splenda fanatic.
27Either black coffee or a latte with skim milk, can't stand sweet drinks (but love sweets)!
28Agave. I sweeten anything with this .. It's better for you
29I am a slave to splenda....
30Another Spenda-pendent checking in.
Not a big fan of Nutrasweet and stevia gives me migraines.
31Sorry, that should be SPLENDA-pendent. Can't type today. Need more coffee...
32thanks for the tip...jessy777
33I take it black. "The navy way," as my mom always says.
34I use silk vanilla soymilk in my coffee... ( once in awhile will use sugar for kicks or if I'm working out too much and am adding calories, I really don't like fake sweeteners)
35I use Splenda and Stevia and have cut down a lot on both of these. I try to have my coffee black if it's really, really good. I'm inclined to way too much sugar, so this is my only source of sweetness at the moment.
36My mom used to get headaches every time she tried to stopped drinking coffee, so I never even started. Its green tea for me!
37i drink mine with sugar free creamer..usually hazelnut or vanilla.
38i drink green tea with artificial sweetener (it's saharin with soemthing else), and i drink coffee sometimes and i'd put the same sweetener or unrefined sugar. depends on my mood. if i'm not home than it's brown sugar
391/2 and 1/2 in mine.... NO sugar
40I like mine with Equal or Splenda and French Vanilla Fat-free Coffeemate. I also don't care if it's "bad for you"; I like the way it tastes and I figure life's too short to drink coffee I don't like, so I'll drink my coffee with my Splenda or Equal in it. Everything gives you cancer anyway, right?
41My once a week decaf latte is one of the few pleasures I have in my life. STAY AWAY FROM MY COFFEE.
;P
I don't drink sugar in my "regular" drinks though.
42Hot and black for me, too!
43Sometimes I put sugar and sometimes I just drink it black.
44good coffee doesn't need anything.
45I don't drink coffee, but I do drink tea and I'm starting to put less and less sugar in it - I've actually found a couple of teas where I don't need any sugar and I hope that will help me to cut back when drinking the kinds I usually put sugar in...
46splenda. if no splenda, sweet 'n low. if no sweet 'n low, equal.
47I use Splenda...I know, I know!
48Cane sugar!
49Sugar is as addicting as crack cocaine. You will always want more of it.
After low-carbing for a few months, it's amazing how I can longer tolerate the level of sweetness that most people consider normal. It tastes like pure sugar water!
