Dark Chocolate, Yummy in the Tummy!

This could be the best news you've heard all day.


Longevity specialist Dr. Michael Roizen was on Oprah a while back telling us all to eat more chocolate to increase longevity. Why? Well, dark chocolate (look for at least 60 percent cocoa) is a concentrated source of antioxidants, which protect cells from age-related damage. In fact, a 1 1/2-ounce square of chocolate may have as many cancer-fighting antioxidants as a five-ounce glass of red wine. (Wine and chocolate, can't get any better than that!) Only dark chocolate will do, but if you eat one ounce every day, you increase the level of healthy fat in your diet. What's more? The European Board of Health lists chocolate as a pre-digestive aid. So goodbye to the saying, "You'll spoil your dinner."
