Cool or Not: Z-CoiL Sneakers

Z-CoiL Sneakers ($189.95) are made to help relieve foot, leg and back pain by reducing impact to the body. These interesting shoes claim to help prevent Achilles Tendinitis, Arthritis, Bunions, Plantar Fasciitis as well as back, ankle and foot pain. You can walk and run in them, so the sky's the limit. The coil technology is also supposed to ease tension and stress in your feet, which is a promise most shoes do not offer. Sounds comfortable, but they look like some sort of moon-hopper's shoe. Of course I am interested in what you guys think - are they cool or not?

I work at a Z-CoiL store and let me tell you, these things may be ugly but they work! I'm only 23 and I have been wearing these since I was 19. They have helped me to be able to walk and stand for long periods of time and not want to just go home and do nothing because I hurt so bad. If you can get past the look, which isn't hard if you want something that works, then these are the way to go!

O own the ones pictured here. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever own. But I still cant run in these wonderful shoes. By the way, I did not pay close to $200.00 for them, I found them new at a thrift shop.Paid a big whopping $5.00.So if you people who think they are ugly, they have other styles, not just this color.

I actually own a pair of these...well not the sneakers but a pair of Z-Coil's shoes. Though they may not be the coolest looking shoes in the world, they really really really work! I can (and have) work 18 hours shifts on my feet solid and still be able to walk without pain afterwards. If you suffer from foot pain, heel spurs, etc. these are the way to go.

My mom owns a store that sells these and I wear them everyday! I'm only 20 but they make my life so much easier...its like you're not even walking on the ground! They actually have some cuter styles if you're looking for something to wear everyday...it's not for the close-minded, fyi.

I'd be willing to go for a run or a brisk walk in these, what with my flat feet - but it's going to be at the crack of dawn on a deserted street. No way I'm walking around in broad daylight, among mortals, with these on...

I have seen a couple doctors wear them - but I am not to sure I would want to hit the local gym in these. They just seem a little too far fetched for me. Maybe once they hit the main stream more.

Does this bring that Seinfeld episode where Kramer wears crazy sneakers with round pads in the front to mind for anyone else? I know that's a bad description of the Kramer shoes, but I can't remember them very well. But there's definitely a connection between these those and the ones in Seinfeld!

While I think these shoes are ugly as sin, apparently they're great for your posture and anyone with foot pain. I guess sometimes you have to sacrifice style!

This would have been nice BEFORE I got Achilles Tendonitis. Let me tell you what...a cortizone shot in your heel...so not cool, or fun. anyone else know what I am talking about? although these are not cool looking, it would be worth it sompared to the alternative of not being able to stand on my feet for more than a couple hours or not being able to walk propperly in the morning or having that needle plunged directly into the most tender spot of my achilles tendon....*shivers from the thought of the pain*_________________________________________________________Why don't you wear the face you have when I am not around?
