I'm a sucker for Valentine's Day, mostly because I'll take any excuse you throw at me to eat chocolate. Heck, even my doctor says I should incorporate a little bit of dark chocolate into my diet — it can soothe a cough, increase blood flow, and lower blood pressure. Dark chocolate is also full of flavonoids, the antioxidant family that help protect the heart.
Since dark chocolate helps the heart, it makes total sense that it's the perfect Valentine's Day gift. Spread the love even more by buying chocolate that's organic, Fair Trade, or health-inspired. Trust me, your sweetie will love you even more for it!
The Bacchanal bonbons ($35) from Cocoavino are made to enjoy with red wine — talk about antioxidant overload! Chocolate from Cocoavino is organic and Fair Trade certified, made with wind power, and sold in eco-friendly packaging.
Forget Nestlé Crunch; Dark Quinoa Chocolate bars ($5) from Alter Eco give you that same crunch except with lots of protein. Alter Eco sources all of its ingredients from Fair Trade farms and also helps fund community development programs.

I told you I'd be back with more amazing ladies from Team USA. I will definitely be watching the opening ceremony this Friday, as I'll be on the lookout for the medal hopefuls I'm showcasing here. Here's hoping that their incredible talent, drive, and training is enough to bring home the gold!

Hello Everyone! My name is Kindra. I just turned 26 on the 27th of January. I'm in a wonderful relationship with the love of my life, Ian, and we have a beautiful 8.5-month-old daughter named Jasmine.
I have a budding career as a massage therapist but I haven't returned to work because I don't have a state license and I need to have better physical health. Luckily, I'm jumping through the hoops towards getting my license. So now my resolution is to stop procrastinating on my diet and exercise. Jasmine is getting more mobile with each passing day — I'll need strength, stamina, energy, and endurance in order to keep up with her, especially when I return to work.
