From now until March 10, just visit MyCokeRewards and you can enter for a chance to win the red dress designed for Heidi Klum to wear at the 2008 Oscars! For every sweepstakes entry, Diet Coke will contribute $1 to support women’s heart health awareness and research, up to $250,000*.

I have my naughty red bra on hahaha!
1While it's great that a huge company is bringing attention to women's heart disease, I don't really understand why it's Coke. Their products, full of high fructose corn syrup, are part of the reasons obesity-related deaths are a problem. And Diet Coke is hardly a healthy drink. And the American Heart Association puts its stamp of approval of products containing trans fats, like cereals. While I AM wearing red today to support the cause, I just would rather see companies be part of the solution within their products, not after the problem claims millions of lives.
2I am really disappointed and unhappy that you posted this. Diet coke and any soda in general is so bad for you. There are countless studies out there that show soda is horrific for you body, including those that contain artificial sweeteners. As a proponent of healthy living and lifestyle, I'm surprised that you would post anything about a company like coke. It is good that they are supporting research into heart disease, but perhaps they should take a look at their own products and the effect they are having on the American people. It's a shame that the AHA would associate with a company like coke.
3go4it, I second what you said and I love your icon! Absolutely Fabulous = amazing.
4I agree with Loveyoumeanit and Go4it. I've just been enlightened of the effects of diet soda on the body, and it ain't pretty. Those chemicals are toxic.
Well, I happen to be going to the gym today for cardio and weight training. I take good care of my heart. Part of my gym outfit will be red.
5I have on red undies! Another Diet Coke note...I saw a box of Diet Coke at the store with "Heart Healthy" guidelines on it. One of the guidelines was: "Taking 5 minutes to chill out with a Diet Coke can be relaxing and can lower your blood pressure". Yeah, and the caffeine in the soda will raise it again. They also claim that soda is "hydrating". It's kind of a "junk food parading as healthy" thing, I think.
6This dress would go well with all the new red electronics that is popular, MP3, cell phones, digital cameras, etc.
7Word up to all the women who say that coke's bad for you. It's HORRIBLE. Sponsored posts are evil when it's an unhealthy product on Fitsugar.
8Did I wear red today? Hmm...better question did I wear clothes today?
No, I wore pajamas all day.
9I wore a little red.
10Woohoo! I gave up Diet Coke, actually ANY artificial sweetner, on November 1, 2007 and I haven't had any since!
11i agree w/ those of you unhappy with coke's sponosorship of AHA's red dress campaign. sponsored links liek this have been all over the sugar network lately. that's one reason i dont visit here as much as i used to. but i get it, it's business.
12ElectroPopTart-
Good for you! My husband and I were diet Coke and diet Pepsi fiends for awhile. After reading about the horribleness associated with artificial sweeteners, we gave them up! So I applaud you, as it is not an easy thing to do.
And considering how unhealthy diet sodas are, I am surprised and irritated that the NHLB has teamed up with Coke. But when money is involved, anything is possible...
13-WOW!!! So the Heart Association sold out to Diet Coke in order to get some Oscar buzz, like the buzz I get from aspartame! And let's talk about the possible cancer buzz!
