I'm always on the lookout for new energy bars to fuel my workouts, and when I spotted Peak Bar at Walgreens, I was especially intrigued. The store was selling two flavors — Peaches & Blueberries and Chocolate Brownie — in the Women's Health line, which is described as "bakery style." Hoping it might taste something like a muffin, I bought the Peaches & Blueberries.

The bars aren't like muffins exactly, but they are tasty, and I appreciated that the texture was different than your typical energy bar. To find out what I thought and to see a nutritional breakdown, read more
The Peak Bar is slightly shorter and wider than a Luna Bar and has about the same amount of calories but significantly less fat. Luna Bars usually have four to five grams of fat, while Peak Bars are nearly fat free. Here's the nutritional info for the Peaches & Blueberries bar:
| Calories | Fat | Protein | Cholesterol | Sodium | Fiber | Sugar |
| 180 | 0.5 g | 10 g | 0 g | 140 mg | 5 g | 18g |
The peach and blueberry flavors tasted very natural, and most of the ingredients are good rather than synthetic stuff. But my favorite part about Peak Bars was the texture: It's very bread-like, evoking a dense scone or cookie. If you have a weakness for bakery goods like I do, why not indulge that love in a high-protein bar? If anyone else has tried these, let me know what you think.

Tory Burch
Maybe I'll try 'em...
1i'll go buy them today!
2Still has 18g of Sugar though = (
3do you have the ingredient list??
4hmm ill be on the look out for these. the sugar really isnt that bad considering the natural sugars from the fruits and whatnot. Some other brands have even more sugar too. I def think thats worth checking out though.
5Yet another bar packed with soy. Great but pointless for some of us.
6They sound okay.
7I love finding out about new but still great energy bars, I always carry one in my bag because I tend to get hungry before lunch. I eat one of these during class and then have something small for lunch, or sometimes I switch. Can't wait to try these
!
8I love the Cinnamon Roll flavor PeakBar. Really dense and chewy, with a sweet spicy cinnamon/nutmeg flavor. These have 130 calories, 0.5 gm fat, 6 grams fiber, 9gm protein and 9gm sugar.
9I have purchased these bars at my yoga studio and love them. They are really good if you microwave them for 10 seconds. I've been looking online on where I can purchase them and cannot find these bars anywhere except my studio. Any suggestions?
10I found these PeakBars, Breakfast To Go bakery style at Big Lots. Man, what a find! They are full of goodness and fuel the mornings when I don't have time for breakfast at home. I love these and hope to find them somewhere else now that BigLots does not have them any more. bummer, huh? But I will continue the quest.
11I bought three of these at a discount grocer. Tried one and then went back to purchase a case. They are the best energy bar that I have ever tasted. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble finding them now. I'm going to stop by Walgreen's and look tonight.
