When browsing a health-food store, it can be tempting to spend a good bit of time (and money) in the supplement aisle. While supplements are a good safety net for filling the nutrient gaps created by not eating all your fruits and veggies, you should not rely on them. Almost all nutritionists will tell you that supplements are a good supplement (hence the name) to fruits and veggies, but they pale in comparison to the real thing. So spend your money on the fresh stuff and reap the benefits later.

I take a calcium/vitamin D combo pill most days, but I try to get the rest of my nutrients through healthy eating. The only reason I take that one is because I know that i don't get enough calcium in my diet.
1I just take a multi-vitamin everyday.
2Well taking a supplement is better than not eating your veggies AND no supplement.
I guess if you can do both great but if you're at least conscious enough to take a supplement that's good too.
3Just a multivitamin and flaxseed pill almost everyday. Nothing too fancy. Also, you can get them WAY cheaper at Sam's Club. They'll last you for like half a year with the amount of pills in the containers!
4i take multi-vitamin and calcium supplement and try to get my daily servings of fruits and veggies too on most days
5my bf jus wont eat veggies, any suggestions on how to get him to do tht or alternatives other than supplements to meet his daily dose of nutrients
6Rumpel... a man who doesn't try veggies is a man who will soon try nothing in bed...
7I eat veggies AND I take a supplement.
I used to avoid most, but I've learned to like a good amount of them over the past couple of years, so I'm now able to incorporate them into my daily diet.
8For me, both veggies and supplements are important. They both enhance my health.
9Supplements are a complete scam! There is no proof that they absolutely absorb into your body anyways and nobody needs 600% per day of any vitamin or mineral--that could be bad for your body. People buying supplements and vitamins are just fueling the billion dollar drug business. Buy local produce and eat fresh fruit and veggies!
