Bringing a whole new meaning to the term "body bag," the Selk'Bag is a sleepwear system. Yep, it is a sleeping bag/jumpsuit that makes camping, or just lounging on your couch with your heat off, more comfortable. Haven't you always wanted to be more mobile when stuffed in your sack? Making morning coffee by the campfire or before the heat in your apartment kicks in can now be super cozy.

Available in the UK and online, the pajama sleeping bag, as I like to call it, comes with different temperature ratings, like all good sleeping bags do. The one pictured, which is also available in white (in case you really want to look like Frosty the snowman), red, and brown, is rated as comfortable to about 50º F (9.7º Celsius) and costs around $170 (not including shipping from the UK).
While I think the idea of these bags are cool, I don't think I would ever actually buy one. What do you think?

Jean Paul Gaultier
Lanvin
Missoni
That is ridiculous.
1This is pretty funny.
Personally, this would come in handy in the winter months for me. It sucks when it's -30 degrees outside and you come inside to your house and it no longer feels warm one minute after getting in. Dang!

3Too funny!
I love it!
But I would never wear one!
I bet my mom would have tried to make me wear this when i was little though
Whoa! It's even all the way! hahaha....it's 33% for all three...
I said "cool" because i see that this can be quite the tool for camping.
4This would be dope for camping in the cold. But otherwise, silly.
5I guess this makes a lot of sense if you're a camper or hiker who goes out a lot in the winter. Otherwise, it reminds me of a little kid's snowsuit.
6What the...
7Oddly, I think that's awesome. I have bad circulation and low blood pressure so I'm cold all the time, and that would save on heating. be pretty fun too!
8Uuummm...It would be a real hassle to go pee in this thing while camping... No thanks.
9I know this is super weird looking but you never know! Once we went camping and it SNOWED. needless to say we were NOT prepared and it SUCKED. I would have LOVED to have this at that time. I think for camping it could definitely come in handy. It's ugly and all but so what. Keeps you toasty, fine by me!
10oh my gosh that thing is so ridiculous looking
11I love their model! Could he be more ridiculous?
As silly as this is, it would probably be nice for camping.
12haha...nice for camping, but it looks uncomfortable.
13Hmm. $170 is roughly what it takes per month to keep our teeny tiny one bedroom shoebox of a condo heated to 66 degrees (I know, insane). Instead, we don't turn on the heat, and it's usually between 50-54 degrees INSIDE and we are always freezing.
14Sounds like a potentially useful investment. Who cares how ridiculous I look when nobody is around to see me? I'd rather be toasty warm!
My nephew Jeff would love one of these for when he goes on long bike trips and ends up sleeping on the beach then having to bolt from the tide. Or camps out in Ojai. You never know when you have to run from a Mountain Lion or some fool with a paint ball gun or rifle so having wearing your sleeping bag would be right up his alley. Plus he's going away to college this year - this will probably be perfect for when he forgets to pay his gas bill and they shut off his gas during winter. Either that or he would roam around the SFSU campus wearing it all the time cause its freezing.
15weird...haha!
16Loves It!!!
17Um.. it reminds me of a Hazmat suit. But it is a good idea if you camp regularly, or you're a hiker(one of those die-hards that climb Mt. Everest and all). Very practical for a regular outdoorsperson, the occasional camper not so much.
18@ wackadoodle-- LMAO!! Typical college kid your nephew is! You always have something clever to say, I've noticed!
19Cool for camping. I don't camp anymore though, but if I had something like this maybe I would. Why is it bright yellow, does it come in any other colors?
20Actually, who am I kidding, I am moving to Buffalo, NY, it's freezing there, and I would not be above lounging in this on the couch.
21It might be nice for walking around, but I wouldn't sleep in it at a campsite since I get the feeling my feet would be really cold in it. I like to keep my bodyparts (especially feet!) together when I'm sleeping; it gives me a better sense of security. As for bringing this thing AND a sleeping bag along when I'm camping, it's just too much stuff to take with me. So I guess I'll have to pass...
22That is awesome. I would love that for camping!
23OMG - completely ridiculous! Isn't this just a giant snow-suit??? I remember wearing those as a kid in winter and dear Lord they were a pain to get out of when it was time to go to the bathroom...can't imagine sleeping in one!
24I would never buy that, but it's pretty original!
25I knew a girl who had two- we went on a camp up a mountain and her and a guy had sumo wrestling competitions down the hall while wearing them- soooo funny, especially since the girl probably had a foot and 10 kilos on the guy lol
26I think this is a great idea for campers. We have a cabin in the mountains that is FREEZING if you aren't sleeping in front of the fire. This would also be good for -10 degrees football games! we've definitely had to bring sleeping bags to games before!
