I like to take a group exercise class when I feel myself hitting the inevitable fitness wall. When I just can't imagine one more step on the treadmill then I'll sign myself up for a new class such as cardio kick boxing or pole dancing. I always have a blast but sometimes I just can't seem to fit them in my weekly schedule.

What about you guys, do you take group exercise classes regularly?

I try to go to yoga class once a week, either Monday nights or Saturday mornings.
1i took a pole dancing/erotic dance class last year but it was just too out of my way...
2this year, i'm taking yoga mondays and kick boxing wednesdays.
they are 45 mins/1 hour during lunch and walking distance from work so it is perfect!
I take a strength training class becuase I can't stand doing it on my own.
3I'm also taking a 7am spinning class to force myself to exercise early and try something new.
so, right now i'm taking a class every day.
I started going to spinning class twice a week and it's totally revamped my workout--and I dragged my friends along, so we have a ton of fun!
4I'd like to do it more often. Maybe a strip aerobics class.
5i used to do body pump 4x a week, but my new gym doesn't offer it (they offer their own variation . . . power lift or something like that, but it isn't the same) i would like to get back into it, though, i usually really like taking classes!
6I take Pilates at least twice a week. I love it and it's great having something scheduled like that because I always know my tuesday's and thursday's are busy.
7I try to take spinning and boot camp classes as often as i can. Definitely keeps me from getting bored.
8Not precisely "exercise" classes, but I take flamenco dance classes every week, generally one in choreography and one in technique (which is more akin to a traditional exercise class, I guess).
9I used to do spinning all the time, but recently my gym switched from allowing reservations to first come/first served. I just don't have time right to get there a half hour early, and it's been so busy since New Year's, so it's back to running or my elliptical until things slow down.
10No because the scheduling is all off.
11I like group classes but our schedules don't always mesh. I do want to start taking the yoga class at my gym on Thursdays!
12I haven't gone to any regularly. But I have decided to take advantage of the group classes my university offers once I return from break. Why pass up free classes?
13Most group exercise classes turn me off-there's always that jockeying for a spot thing, with that one person who has to invade your space. Outdoor boot camps are great though!
14No I don't. But I do want to start doing something like that soonish with ym boyfriend...maybe salsa classes!!!
15Body Pump!! 3-4 times a week, and I love Body flow but I have a harder time fitting it into my schedule.
16i do!! they are fun i think!
hehe
17Yes! Spinning, Yoga, and Hip Hop.
18Spinning, Yoga and Weights! The group classes make me go regularly because I have friends in them so I feel more accountable because they always ask where you were when you miss it. If it's just me going to work out on the elliptical I can come up with a billion excuses not to go.
19Classes really help to mix up my workouts, so I try to fit in a couple Spinning classes, Group Power (weights) and sometimes Group Kick. Having an instructor really helps to keep me motivated.
20I do spinning, a boot camp class, and Club Strength (weights class) regularly. Other than that I just run, so I'm on my own. However, if I get bored or I don't feel like working out, then I'll try a different class. I burn more calories running 5 miles than I would in a 45 minute step class, but if I'm too lazy to motivate myself to run, I'll burn more calories going to step class than sitting on my ass watching tv.
21Just got back from a "total body toning" class; Pilates and Upper Body classes come later in the week. I really enjoy the group classes to keep me motivated and to add variety to my morning workouts.
22I love taking Hip Hop/Jazz and Pilates classes. I'm regular with it because they are very motivating and make the time fly by!
23I need group ex to stay motivated, especially when it comes to weight training. I seriously can't miss my Monday evening cardio kickboxing class. I guess I just feel like I have more motivation and workout harder in a group setting. I get really distracted and don't push myself as hard on the elliptical and treadmill.
24Fortunately, where I work offers free classes. I go to yoga and pilates twice a week. They have replaced my afternoon coffee and I feel so much more energized.
25Bodypump and Bodycombat - I try to do twice a week of each. The only time I don't make it is if I am working during those hours. On those days the gym will have to suffice. I love both classes and sometimes I find being in a class is the only way to make sure I am working out continuously for an hour. On my own, I tend to take longer breaks between sets and when I can't get the equipment I need I start losing interest.
26I do take them once in a while, but not regularly... they're fun but at my gym the instructors speak Dutch (and I don't!) so I prefer excercise DVDs at home.
27I feel completely intimidated by them.
28I teach a weight lifting class called "Power Pump". It doesn't require anymore time out of my day since I work out anyway, but it does force me to change things up more than I would normally (as the customers require that). That has resulted in a firmer, more in shape me. And I get paid for that. I love it!
29I took my first class this past weekend, a jazz/latin dance aerobic class. It was a lot of fun and I want to start taking more classes. I looked over my gym's class schedule last night and found quite a few that I want to try. I'm scared that I'm not going to do very well in them, but why not at least give them a try.
30i took dance classes for 15 years, but for some reason i can't stand aerobics classes.
