Sometimes it's the little things we can do to keep on track for optimal health and most of them time it just takes a few minutes, or even seconds, to get back on track.
How's your posture right now? Many of us forget to take just a few seconds to make sure we are sitting properly. So take about ten seconds out of your day every so often to make sure your hips and shoulders are in line, your thighs are parallel to the ground, and your ankles are just slightly out in front of your knees. Also, be sure that your spine is maintaining a natural curve (i.e. not hunched over your keyboard).
Need motivation to improve your posture? Slouching has been known sabotage all efforts in getting a six-pack.

i KNow, i KNOW...but it's sooo difficult!!!
1Ahhh, thanks for the reminder. I need to stay on top of this, especially since I already have scoliosis!
2Reading this as I'm slumped over my keyboard, shoulders and hips out of alignment, legs crossed... No wonder my back was killing me earlier!!
3As I'm reading this I'm sitting in an almost identical position as the girl in the photo. Whoops!
4I have a bit of scoliosis too and yet I'm sitting here leaning my back to left balancing that weight on my left elbow and I also have my legs crossed! Ugh, no wonder I have slight scoliosis! I need to fix my posture.
5I need to remember this...
6Great post! I never knew that training your abdominal muscles can help you improve your posture! Thanks, I've been trying to improve my posture for YEARS. Now I know another way of doing it (and another reason to do it!)
