Fat is an often misunderstood part of the dieter's diet. For many years it was treated as fact that fat kept people feeling fuller for longer. While some fats do have redeemable features, this is not one of them.
New research shows this not to be the case with fat. While fat does take longer to digest, it does not help control appetites because fat is the least satiating food group. The foods most likely to keep hunger at bay are protein, followed by carbohydrates, then finally fats. It is always best to create a well-balanced meal that contains all these food groups, and you can go extra light on the fat portion without suffering hunger pangs.
Make sure you include protein with every meal if you are looking to keep your tummy from grumbling.

I always have my protein first then my complex carb then there's no more room for anything else. But if I don't eat any quality protein at a meal I pay the price - I feel fatigued and hungry almost immediately especially since the surgery.
My athlete nephew even eats his protein first then his veg, he recovers so much better each night after his training sessions. A good quality protein always makes him feel better and steadier after a hard work out.
1It's sooo hard to get protein in when my mom makes Indian dinner (vegetarian), which is my lunch the next day.
2I try and drink protien shakes here and there but I get a REAL BAD tummy ache from them sometimes and bad gas haha!
3Mmmmm protein...
4Egg whites!
5Add them in at breakfast or lunch, or with salads and snacks. They are an amazing source of clean, fat free protein.
yeah.. i advice not eating too much protein in every meal though cause its gonna take a toll on your stomache - doesn't quite digest as good. Also if your protein shake is giving you gas, you may try to consider getting a better brand. Theres alot of good brands thats easy to shake and wont get you bloated.
6This actually works pretty good...I'm pretty big on chicken....more chicken, less side dish.
7I don't eat meat very often, but I definitely get my protein in other ways.
