This holiday season when we are feeling like there are just not enough hours in the day remember that, even though it seems backwards, energy creates energy when it comes to working out. Sometimes just taking that first step to get moving, when all you want to do is lie on the couch, is the hardest part. Once you get the momentum going, you may actually have the energy to enjoy what you've been working so hard to prepare for. An extra hour up chatting late with your sisters who you never get to see is worth 45 minutes at the gym. Right?

Thats true, but its so hard to get pumped when its so gray and cold
1i guess i can't complain about dreary weather because i live in south florida
2It may sound cheesy, but I use the Nike mantra of "Just Do It". When I don't want to get out of bed at 5 AM to go to the gym in the 20 degree weather, I tell myself "Just Do It".
I also remind myself that if I don't go, I will feel bad about it later. But if I do go, I will never feel bad or regret that!
