Last night was the season finale of The Biggest Loser and it was a good one. I will say that it was not as amazing as last year's finale, but still pretty darn motivating. While the production was a little off, as it always is, with way too much confetti and delays, I was still totally engrossed.
To see who won as well as a video of the four finalists just read more.
It was no surprise that Bill won this season, especially since most of you guys pinned him as the winner in the poll. He, along with everyone else, looked absolutely fabulous and healthy — even the folks who got voted off early on looked amazing. Was anyone else shocked by how Jerry looked? He really looked super happy. It just goes to show you that it can be done at home. Maybe not so dramatically, but it can be done at home and you can change your habits. Look at Isabeau, she even found so much joy in exercise that she decided to become a personal trainer. How cool is that?
I'm still working at getting my hands on all the before and after pictures, but until then check out the video that shows before and afters of the final four.
Want to read the final four's parting words? iVillage has them all. Congratulations everyone!

yayay! i wish julie would've won, she looks amazing! so does hollie!
1I wonder if it will ever be possible for a woman to win this competition? Men and women loose weight so differently and men loose more weight faster. I do love the show because it is inspiring to many people.
2I thought the finale was amazing! The way the twins motivated each other was really indpiring! And all the women finalists looked awesome...so healthy and happy. I cried from the beginning of the show alllllll the way until the end!
3I think the whole premise of the show makes it easier for a guy to win. They base it on percentage of weight lost, but most of the men that start the show are monstrous...both tall AND really heavy. Not to mention that men are more muscular naturally anyway...they're of course going to get to their ideal weight faster than almost any woman. I mean, I think Bill looked great and I don't think he didn't deserve to win or anything, but it sucks for the women that were on the show because they probably tried just as hard and lost a crapload of weight, but because their bodies take a little longer to drop it all, they didn't lose as big of a percentage as Bill.
In the future, I think they should base the winner on some more criteria, like improvement in fitness, total body fat % reduction, strength gain, etc. and not just the number on the scale.
4everyone looked so awesome last night.
5Everyone looked amazing, but I wish the twins did not win both prizes. Neil, love him or hate him, I thought he looked hot and I liked him all season. I was bummed he lost out by 5 pounds.
6great show last night..really inspiring and they all looked amazing..even that whiner amy.
7Testerone will give men the edge as far as weight loss. Unless they change the criteria a little, a woman will never win. But losing weight is a winning situation nonetheless. I guess the women should bond together to get rid of the men asap next go round.
8The base it on percentage, which makes it perfectly fair to either sex. Just like Neil lost 10 pounds , and one of the girls lost 8 but her percentage was higher and Neil went home....
9It isn't fair for either sex...it's better to be heavier at the start. Some of the women were around 250 lbs when they started for them to lose more than 50% of their weight they would almost have to stop exercising and lose some of their hard earned muscle whereas the heavier people can lose 50% of their weight and still have more to go. I think Bill did look great and deserved to win but it will be hard for a woman to ever win this show with the way it's set up. I agree with spectra that it should be based on other things including body fat % instead of weight loss %.
10I'm glad Bill won! I don't like Julie very much but she did look awesome. And for the people saying that women might not be Able to win. Look at Kae, she lost like 47% of her body weight TOTALLY beating MOST of the men, not the crazy twins but a lot of them! I'm sad Kae didn't win, but her and Jerry looked great. And the twins seem like good people so I'm glad they took it home!
11Is anyone else wondering about next season, how its going to be? I kind of freaked because I didn't see Bob in the commercial!!!!
well it would totally suck if bob doesnt return..but i must have jillian there also..
i adored the twins..they just seemed like good hearted people..i am so glad neil did not win...too shady..
julie looked amazing...they all did...they really worked their tails off and it showed..
as far as how to calculate it, i think the women will always be at a disadvantage because they have always been smaller than the men..the only equlizer is if every contestant weighs the same amount of weight and i doubt if that will ever happen..
12HOly crap! I didnt even think that was possible! Bill lost so much weight!
13I was really glad Bill won. Even so, he and his brother had a huge advantage over the other BL contestants since they had eachother to compete with and feed off of.
Does anyone else feel like there was something wierd about the way Julie looked? ... some botox here and there -- and other things that I won't mention because I feel too much like a negative nancy!
I think a woman will be able to win the game -- they'll just have to play the game right and eliminate all of the men!
14The Today Show had Bill on Wednesday morning and also had all the before and after photos linked to the video on their website. I had searched all day for them too.
15Renees3, bob and jillian are the trainers in the next season but kim is not (and may not come back after that either).
16I'm so glad Kim isn't comign back! I have never liked her and the fact that her team fell apart so soon made me happy.
17Okay, do you people not get it? The whole premise is who loses the highest percentage of thier STARTING WEIGHT,EVERYONE is on EVEN GROUND!
If I went in there and weighed 250 and there was a dude that weighted 400, it doesnt matter that he wieghs more....Did any of you take math class?
18No matter what, that show sends a better message than, say, America's Next Top Model.
