As I've said before, Winter can be brutal on your skin. The wee bit of humidity in the air evaporates when we blast our heat, and we're left with itchy, dry skin. The dry manufactured heat also does a number on sensitive lips. You need a soothing lip balm like this one from Burt's Bees. Made with all natural ingredients including beeswax, rosemary extract, and peppermint oil, this balm soaks into your skin providing cooling relief immediately. It also contains comfrey root extract, which helps heal dry or cracked lips.

I fell in love with this lip balm many years ago when Burt's was a small company, and you could only find their products at health food stores. In case you hadn't heard though, Clorox bought Burt's Bees. Want to hear more about it? Then read more
Burt's Bees sold for almost $1 million, and some environmentalists are appalled and worried that this big company won't maintain Burt's Bees environmental practices. Others are hoping that by purchasing this all natural company, Clorox will become greener. They've already been reshaping their practices, and have recently introduced a line of all natural household cleaning products called Green Works, that are labeled 99% natural. I think it's great that so many big companies are making choices to positively affect our world. I'm definitely a little wary about this, but hopefully Clorox will continue on its path to greendom. Even though Clorox now owns Burt's Bees, I'm optimistic that it will continue to make all natural products.

I absolutely LOVE the original chap stick, it is all I use. I love that tingly feeling!
1I love Burt's Bees replenishing lip balm and use the lip shimmers when I want to add some color to my lips.
2Burt's Bees is one of the worst lip balms I've ever used. It's just a thick wax stick. It does nothing for moisturizing my lips but it's an OK environment blocker. I like the mint sensation, but there are a lot of glosses and balms with mint now.
3MandyJoBo I'm with you. It's "okay" but as far as moisturizing I thought it was a lot like wax too and it annoyed me to even use it.
I have found many others that work far better.
I like their hand salve though.
4I love Burt's Bees. I'm using some now!
5I love Burt's Bees, but this is a total disappointment. I'm also surprised that it's not worth more than $1 million already...
Clorox BOOOOO!
6I ♥ this stuff!
7LOVE Burt's Bees chapstick! I actually prefer the wax feel because it doesnt wear off after 5 minutes forcing you to reapply like most other brands. I really hope Clorox does not make any changes!
8Oh man! As soon as I find something that is virtually artificial-chemical free AND works for my skin, it gets bought out by a bleach company! I really REALLY hope they don't change. And while they're at it, they should bring back their grapefruit complexion mist.
9I like burts bees but my favorite lipbalm is Blistex DCT. Ive used it for almost a decade and I will never go without some in my purse
10I too am a fan of Burt's Bees, and I generally use some of the tinted lip balm every morning in lieu of lipstick. However, my vote for the all-time most fab lip balm goes to Mary Kay's Satin Lips! It does not get that nasty gritty feeling or seem to dry out your lips even more like a lot of lip products do.
11Hmm...mixed reviews...thanks team!
12I love Burt's Bees too. I've been hearing a lot of grumbling about Clorox buying them out too. Clorox doesn't have the ... cleanest business practices, shall we say. We'll see though. I can't believe they only went for 1 mil!
13I love almost everything from them. The original chapstick (not the white lifeguard one) is amazing and I use the milk and honey lotion all the time.
14Burt's Bees has the best lip balm ever. Although I love my lip gloss too, balms are my favorite in the winter.
I always hated the smell of Chapstick, so I tried Burt's Bees balm back in 1997 when I was in college. I loved the minty smell and it helped my chapped lips immensely. Now I use the pomegranate one.
15Their shampoos/conditioners and new milky body wash are among my favorites too.
16Burt's Bees has got to be one the best companies of all time. I've never met a product of theirs I didn't love.
17I dont like BB, and i have tried almost every product. It ...smells wierd. all of it.
18I love Burt's chapstick. Unfortunately so do my kids. I'm always looking for a tube only to find that one of them has it.
19I love the hand salve too aimeeb! It's on my bathroom sink right now! I like the lip balm but I have to admit I've always been a Carmex fan.
20I like Burts Bees but I prefer to use Lypsyl. It has a lighter feel and I still get the tingly feeling out of it. Plus the tubes are really cute. They use a little bee for the slider.
21Only lipbalm I'll use. I've tried and tried others but always end up back with Burt's.. Their other products are great too!
22I never really liked Burt's Bees I'm 12 and i have tried a lot of lip balms. Believe me ALOT! I have tried the honey one and it dried out my lips!!! I always would have to apply it again! I like Chapstick Brand. And my new fav is Wetnwild Jumbo Juicy.
23Hey! i'm the girl who had the comment #23 I would like to add that I never knew they sold it to Clorox! Let's just hope they didnt change anything...
