Im not suprised that alot of whats on the list is icecream. I had a friend who worked at an icecream shop while in school and she would say people would come in and say "well im watching my weight so instead of icecream ill get a milkshake...." Hello now your not just having icecream but now u added milk!- Thats crazy to me but I guess people think because there drinking it its different...
Dairy Queen Large Choc. Chip Cookie Dough Blizzard: 1320!!!!
OMG!!!
Haha I am not really suprised by this thought because it is SO good!
Wow! There are a lot of calories on this list. I worked at an ice cream place, too, and was always amazed at what some people would come in and order...
Moral of the story: Don't ever super size, stick to one patty instead of 3+ patties, don't every get large shakes...
OMG! HOW on earth can they contain that many calories??? especially the milk shakes, are they serving liquid sugar or what?! seriously this is scary, I wonder whether or not people who eat these things actually are aware of just how little they can eat in a day if they include these things in their diet!
sofie - it's 24 ounces of ice cream - a typical serving size of ice cream is half a cup (4 ounces) and that usually averages about 200 calories for half a cup... so do the math. Plus add the milk and other sugar flavorings...
yikes!!
Though Wendy's Frosties aren't on this list, I found out that they serve a mini-size of it which basically amounts to a Frostie shot. This way when I'm up for a treat, I'll go for a mini rather than a 'regular' size of it.
Holy...
I'm surprised that McDonald's wasn't on there, since the media is always ragging on McDonald's moreso than any other fast food joint.
That is insane though. Drinking calories is just as bad as eating them sometimes.
Yuck! But I"m not surprised. I had a *tiny* shake from BK yesterday and it was 400 calories!
I have not tried anything on this list so I think I'm safe. LOL
WOW
I feel like all the calories are coming from saturated fat too!
I have no idea how anyone could possibly eat a large DQ Blizzard. I don't know that I've ever even finished a small one!
Wow. I have to admit, I used to be a sucker for the Jack in the Box Oreo Shake that is on this list. As well as the DQ Blizzard. I can't believe I took in that many calories as a snack
I think I just clogged my arties reading this post... If these are the fast food joints, I am afriad what the calorie count would be at more sit down places to eat such as Fridays or Chili's...
thank god all of that sounds gross to me!!!
I LOVE the DQ Cookie Dough Blizzard! I pretty much go to DQ in the summer only, but I love it! And I get a small one too
I'm so glad I never eat fast food...
I never eat at any of these places.
If I do chose fast food, it's a small of anything all the way. I sometimes do the kids meals!
am glad i don't eat any of those foods listed anyways
wow. just wow.
Gross. Just Gross! No wonder America is so overweight!
Here's an interesting article about fast food cahins may be needing to place calories of feeds near the prices. It's interesting: http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_7587860?nclick_check=1
Now I'm hungry
A chocolate milkshake sounds so good right now. I guess I'll go with hot chocolate instead!
This makes me so glad that I don't eat fast food!
Omg well i should stop eatng those things
I find it surprising Micky D isn't on there
holy calories.. thats enough for the whole day..
I'm glad that most of these are from places that they don't have around here.
I used to love the "Concrete Malts" from this chain restaurant called Culver's (anyone in the Midwest knows what I'm talking about). I used to get the giant sized ones and it's basically just a HUGE thing of frozen custard blended up with extra candy. I don't even want to know how many calories were in one of those. Yikes!!
Thank God I don't eat any of that stuff.
I don't eat any of these things! I've never had any of them...
I can't finish a Jack in the Box milkshake, and thank goodness. I usually just get it by itself, but now I'm afraid. That's crazy!
i wonder what the louisville region has to do with the shake being so fatty??? random! but also: EWWWWAAHHH!
OMG that is awful! No wonder so many people are obese!
shocking!!
Wow...that's completely disturbing... I'll admit I am a huge eater of fast food, being too lazy to pack a lunch... if I do go fast food though, I always order a kids meal and a bottle of water instead of a soda... That way I can eat my 6 piece happy meal with fries for only 500 calories...instead of 2000!!! It makes me feel much less guilty
Ha ha. I haven't had anything from that list. Ever.
I used to be a big fan of the Dairy Queen chicken strip basket.. until I checked the nutrition information and found out that it had as many calories in it as I should be eating in an entire day. Never again!!
Oof, I am glad I live no where near a Jack in the Box. The name sounds a little pervy, anyway.
what is wrong with louisville - i find it very discomforting that the caloric count for the SAME THING differs from region to region.
i'll bet they're adding lard. my junior high school put lard in the milkshakes until a bunch of people complained to the school board about it.
and instead of taking out the lard and adding, oh, i don't know, actual MILK, they took the damn things away.
I'm surprised frappacinos aren't listed...
damn oreo shake..
damn oreo shake..
I used to eat all this stuff, but no longer. I'd rather eat dog barf! It's really scary how restaurants can sneak in these calories, not to mention how food establishments have distorted our idea of what individual serving size means. Gosh! Wouldn't it be great if it was required of all restaurants--fast food and sit downs--to have nutrition information for each item on the menu? Then, as a consumer (literally), we could make more informed decisions about our bodies and our health. Yikes!
so glad, i have never even touched that list above .
Wondering if I can show this to my parents- fish and chips are their 'go to' food. I'm away at university and people dont believe me when I say I eat better in my flat than I do at my family home. There are a lot more veggies in my flat then there are at home!
this makes me not want to eat fastfood especially ice cream in my seventeen magazine they you should have ice cream once a week and it has to be half a cup but even though i don't want to eat fast food anymore one way or another im going to end up eating fast food i think you can eat almost anything u want just substitute some ingredients, some portion control and don't eat it too much and you'll be fine for all of u who want to go on a diet and lose some weight check out this book and diet 5factordiet.com and 5factordiet book a LOT of celebrities have done this diet it looks so easy and the food sound good and you can eat whateva u want on 1 or was it 2 days a week to find out more check out the book or site
