There's a lot of dieting sites out there on the internet, but to actually use many of them there is some associated cost. Not at SparkPeople.com. This site is totally FREE.

This website is a great resource for folks on a diet. It is chock full of information on nutrition and fitness. Plus they have a "food tracker". You type in what you ate and it not only tells you the caloric amount, but will also keep track of your total consumption. Yep - an electronic food diary at your fingertips. The site also has daily exercises and a supportive (and very interactive, no pun intended) community.
There is so much to the site that you should just check it out for yourself. What's more? It's really easy to use!

Awesome site! Thanks Fit!
1It looks like this site if full of stuff. I think my old boss might have used it. It sounds familiar.
2I love spark people!!! It doesn't have the personality of Fitsugar, but it's a great tool for tracking what you've been eating. (Though their calorie database has too much fast food...) They have a ton a good articles but the way I've been getting health information spoon fed to me on this site suits my taste. (, I'm such a dork...)
3i have heard of sparkpeople before, i think my sister used it but like yoyogee said, its not like FIT... i think both are a good combo for anyone looking to get fit! my sister is on the knittiing team or something.
4I LOVE Spark people. I started using it two weeks ago. I feel in love with it. They have you track your fitness and tell you how many calories you have burned. Plus the support ont here is AMAZING! There are different "teams" you can join to accomadate what you need in your support. Also there is a point system (not like WW) but that you get log in points, points when you enter how much water you drink, when you complete a personal goal. You also get points when you read articles or use their emails. It is really nice. I actually lost 6 pounds in the 2 weeks because of they way they taught me to count calories and excercise.
5It is GREAT!
I LOVE SparkPeople. I've been on it for a few months now and it is dynamite. It's a great educational tool.
6I love SparkPeople. I heard about it and have been on it for 6 months or so. I really like being able to track my calorie intake and exercises.
7Way to go, PinkRabbit! What a great start; keep up the good work. I'm a big fan of the website too, I've been there for ages. Look me up if you like!
8I just re-joined Spark people after seriously slacking off post-wedding and honeymoon. I'm finding the calorie counter and fitness tracker really helpful. I'm wondering how many people here are members? I'd love to add people!
