Me, I read a label pretty thoroughly and consistently. I like to know what I am putting into my body, good or bad. However, I always find it interesting that my husband will eat just about anything that sounds good to him without so much as glancing at the label — reading the label is not something that he even thinks about (even while being married to FitSugar). I know my husband is not alone in this, so what about you guys?

Always. Always. Always. I hate it when food doesn't have labels, it makes me nervous...
i ALWAYS read the nutrition label--except on my cheat day, then i don't dare take a peek
For my normal everyday foods, I def read the labels, but for special indulgences...i don't. why ruin it?
Vegans are label reading pros.
i don't remember a time when i didn't read the labels
I do most of the time.. no saturated fat, please!
I typically read the labels when I buy groceries. I usually just check the calories, fat, sodium, and sugar. It drives my husband crazy but I'm not only trying to lose a few pounds but I want to avoid some of my family's genetic health problems early on!
But sometimes, you have to splurge... like the chocolate fruit cups at Godiva! Yum!
Always!
Have to! Must know what your putting in the bod
Always. I want to know exactly what I'm eating.
I'm starting to pay more attention. After eating a frozen entre that was a 1000 calories will do that to a person. Yikes!
I always read the labels. I order my groceries online and they now allow me to read the nutrition facts there, so I can take my time and be as neurotic as I want to be!
I always look for the serving size, the calories, saturated fat, sodium, sugar, fiber, and protein.
Always!
I always do, there's a bunch of ingredients I avoid.
Never. What for? Just common sense will do fine enough.
sometimes...usually when I'm at the grocery store and its a boxed food. If its something like milk, yogurt, bread, etc...I'm usually aware of how nutritious it is without looking at the label.
I didn't realized there were people who didn't read labels until I was in high school. My mom had me reading nutrition labels...as soon as I could read. I couldn't have a cereal that had sugar as one of the first 2 ingredients. (I ate a lot of cherrios)
I'll read a label if it's there, and I do avoid certain ingredients when buying my regular groceries. But if I crave a candy bar, I know it's bad for me! I still read the label just to be aware, but I don't freak out or feel guilty about what's in it. Denying myself what I'm really craving is so much worse for me than 20 grams of sugar. I just have to remember to check if I'm REALLY craving it, because it's easy to use this as an excuse!
I rarely read nutrition facts labels, but I mostly pay attention to the ingredients list. Since I buy hardly any packaged food, it's really not an issue.
I always read the labels, doesn't always deter me from eating something unhealthy, but I atleast read it haha
I always read the label and if it has any of those chemical ingredients that I have never heard of, I think twice about eating it. I've been spoiled by Trader Joes!
as a vegan, its absolutely necessary to read labels. The most suprising things have milk or eggs in them. I also stay as far away as possible from high fructose corn syrup! Ew!
I have become a serious label reader. Make me feel a bit uptight, but I really don't want to eat a lot of processed food and I really don't want my kids too either!
Yeah, just like the vegans, vegetarians have to read labels. I also have lists of cheeses and beers that are vegetarian that i have to check against when i shop. It sucks since "natural flavors" is a catch all that can include animal byproducts! I don't know how to get around that so sometimes i dont try
Always!
I love reading labels. I'm a freak. It just makes me feel good when I read the label on something and it appears healthy...I especially look at fiber content, fat, and the list of ingredients. I do not buy anything with HFCS or transfat....among other crap.
I always read labels. Sometimes I wish I could just buy something without looking, but, alas, I can't.
Always. And I feel guilty when I'm at a restaurant and don't have the breakdown!
always, its just old habit now..I do it without even thinking about it
I used to read them religiously, but I've stopped. Now I only check the ingredients. I only read the nutritional labels when I'm eating and I have the urge to read something;)
ever since Ive been working out Ive caught myself reading label more and more. It really helps me when choosing snacks
I'm on weight watchers, and I take a Points calculater with me to read that label so I know exactly what I'm eating!! It makes it easier then getting home and realizing something is way to many points for you to eat, then it just sits there as a temptation!! Plus, sodium trans fats high suger....the things in our food is crazy!!
I read foodlabels because I am vegan.
That's funny about your husband, Fit. I guess he's just relying on you to keep him healthy most of the time!
I always read labels, my fiance rarely does. When he does, he's always so surprised by what he finds out, so it's suprising he doesn't make a habit of it.
I read labels on everything I buy. I look for total calories, fat content, cholesterol, vitamin/mineral content, and sugar grams. I've been label-reading ever since I was like 5 because my dad would only let me pick out cereal with less than 15g of sugar per serving. I was pretty dissappointed to find out that Lucky Charms didn't make the cut. My husband's like yours, Fit...he will eat anything.
always. my eyes go straight to:
calories
servings per package
protein
fat (sat. or non sat)
dietary fiber
hahahhaha
ALWAYS! I read everything nutritional labels and ingredients, where it is produced evry single thing. You get big surprises sometimes, there are lots of food that look helathy in commercials but are not very healthy when you check the ingredients or nutritional content...
Food allergies make it necessary!
I always check for calories, fiber, trans fats, and hfcs.
I either buy foods that do not come packaged: IE: fresh fish and vegetables or I read the nutritonals and ingredients religiously 5 times over before I buy it! I cannot eat sugar or anything LIKE that so I HAVE TO WATCH out for it, and it lurks just about EVERYWHERE!
I read labels like crazy. I hate when sugar is one of the first ingredients listed. Plus, I don't eat prok and you'll be amazed how many products its in.
Oya....you just have to....there's so much crap in things.
