Not going to stop me! I can't deny pie
and here I am looking for Pumpkin cheesecake recipes online haha! I LOVE PIE! I only eat it like twice a year so I can't deny myself
Thanksgiving is the only time of year I eat pumpkin and/or sweet potato pie just a sliver is enough to satisfy me.
I'm just not a pie fan... but I do love all the delicious dessert options available this time of year. Good idea about scoping out the facts before to make better choices when it comes time to!
Who'd have thought that Chocolate Mousse Pie would beat out all the rest in calories, carbs, and sugar, and take second place for fat content? Too bad about all that sodium though...
Are the counts for 1/12 or 1/16?
mwjank, luckily the calculations are done based on 1/8 of a pie.
Ah. Yep. I figured pecan would be the worst for you calorie-wise: it's nothing but sugar. But maaaaan....it's so nummy. I see it's followed somewhat closely by key lime - another favorite, but one reserved for summertime (and/or while actually IN the Keys!)
Pumpkin is my favorite! Glad to see its one of the lower calorie pies. Now I just have to remember to not eat the crust!
I've never really been one for pie. However, I will have a few bites of CPK's Key Lime Pie. Yumm!
I'm so glad to see that pumpkin isn't the worst.
The top layer of crust pushes the apple and cherry pie up on the calorie chart. Have a tart instead, I love apple, or any fruit tarts!!
I LOVE pumpkin pie...my fav!!!!
This is exactly why i'm running a half marathon thanksgiving morning...makes the pumpkin pie extra worth it.
I love Pecan pie, if figures it would be one of the worst..
Well, at least now I can feel better for choosing the pumpkin pie these days.
You can cut the calorie count of pie by just not eating the crust. The crust is where a lot of the fat is. I make pumpkin custard for Thanksgiving...it's basically pumpkin pie filling baked in ramekins instead of a crust. It's yummy and a lot healthier than pie.
oh god...oh well, just gotta work out harder the next day hah
theyre so high on calories.. and not eating the crust? ooohh i love the crust so muchhhh
Thank God I do not eat pie!!! Or any refined carbs for that matter: what a waste of calories and energy (ha! No pun intended!) I stick to lots and lots of lean meats and vegetables with NO snacking during the day! That helps a bunch!
waittt.... how does chocolate mousse pie have 0g of sugar?
Exactly my thought, blueyedbombshell!!
i love pie as a treat around that time of year. thank god pumpkin isn't the worst. but if i'm going to splurge, i'm going to have teh crust. i think you can buy whole wheat crusts now anyway.
Pie is healthy if prepared right and if the ingredients are right too and according to DrugstoreTM it is better to eat a plain bread that a luxurious pie that are fatty contents.
Very nice site!
