Dancing is a great and fun way to work out. Dancing With the Stars alums and contestants alike all praise the weight loss and health benefits they found in dancing.
Kelly Taylor Jennie Garth is the latest of the DWTS' contestants to speak out on the fabulous benefits of dancing. Here's more:
The 35-year-old mom of three (Luca, 10, Lola, 4, and Fiona, 1) has found the alternative to dieting: “Rehearsing for six hours.”
Garth tells Us, "When I decided to do [Dancing with the Stars], I did Pilates three days a week and cardio twice. I hated it, but it helped. Once I started dancing, things changed faster than when I was just working out."
Garth says she's dropped 10 pounds since starting on the show, "but it's more about the inches and toning. My jeans were a 29 when I started, and I'm wearing a 27 now," she explains. "It's great to be able to go to the back of my closet and get the clothes I wore [pre-baby]."

i think she looks really good on the show. i like her.
1She looks great. I can see a difference since the start of the show. But I don't think the dvd alone will give any of us those same results. She's practicing all day, that's what is doing it. I am so jealous of all these celebrities that great rid of the baby pouch.
2Ahh, dancing. It can be a blessing and a curse!
Up until I was 22, I was a competitive dancer and would dance between 8 and 20 hours each week. I ate healthy meals, but I was hungry all the time so I'd grab a pepsi and a snickers and didn't have to worry about gaining a pound.
Nowdays, I still have my sweet tooth and my urges to induldge, but not as many outlets for burning the calories! I developed some habits that are really hard to get rid of. I wish I could find a great dance studio, but I've been out of practice for so long, it's a little intimidating.
3She looks great and she has 3 kids
Must look into
dancing...
4I would love to train 6 hours a day!
5I have not been watching the shows but I did see her dance once with her partner and I thought they were really good. I really like Jennie though besides Bev Hills, I watched her show What I Like About You. Her and Amanda Bynes were a great pair in the show as sisters, loved the show so much.
I use to dance when I was younger. I took ballet when I was 5 and up. Then in about 5th grade I started taking tap, jazz, and lyrical up until 8th grade. I hurt my knee dancing and ever since I have days when my knee will still bother me when I am walking. I no longer take dance because of it becuase I am never sure when my knee will give out and cause me to fall lol. I use to play soccer as well.
Both dance and soccer kept me in shape. I have gone from 104 pounds to 135 pounds since then and I am 5 foot 5 1/2. People still consider me healthy and skinny but I would still love to lose about 15 to 20 pounds. I do not want to be a 104 again though, my mom and other people thought I had an eating disorder when I was that weight but I didn't.
6Yeah I would probably lose 10-15 lbs when dancing for 6hrs a day but I live in the real world. Most people don't have the time or opportunities to be able to dance 6hrs and not have to worry about bills, work, etc.
7She looks great!
8Wow she looks really good!
9Who has that kind of time. If I had a nanny, a personal chef, a makeup artist, a dog walker, a maid......
10I love that she admitted her jean size! And it seems to be a normal size compared to Hollywood standards.
