I'm grateful that there are so many different ways you can exercise your body. We can run outside, use cardio machines, take dance classes, lift weights, learn Kung Fu, and use fitness DVDs. With all those options I was wondering, where do you usually exercise?

Outdoor! Trailrunning is my definite number one activity all year round but also biking and skiing or snowboarding. I love to exercise and enjoy the nature and fresh air at the sme time.
Definitely outdoors. I get such a great workout running around this hilly campus.
At the gym. Either the one by my house or the one at work.
Since it's snowing where I live right now, I love to run on the treadmill inside during the week, and hit the trails on the weekend.
Gym or home. Depends.
I love working out outside but it's getting to cold and I have trouble breathing when I run outside now.
I much prefer working out at home. I don't have to wait my turn to use the equipment and I can watch TV while I work out.
in my room, i have what ever i need in my room
Primarily outside, but when my legs need a break from the pounding they get running outside, I generally work out at home, or at the gym if I need some extra motivation.
of course i Love outdoor workouts but its not possible right now
nothing beats outside!!
gym
Either the gym, outside to run, or at my house...I pole dance and have a pole at my house. I like to vary my routine so i don't get bored.
I love working out at home...no one's watching and I can go at my own pace. Also, after the workout I get to use my own shower...instead of a gym shower!
The Bar Method, San Francisco Marina studio!!!
I put down dance studio because I probably spend more hours a week in bellydance classes than in the gym, even though I go to the gym more frequently. It's a trade off though... I get a better workout in 20 minutes of hard work in the gym than in 2 hours of dance, but I have a lot more fun at dance and I'm sure it improves my endurance. But I spend a few hours a week at the yoga studio too... I'm all over the place... haaa haa... Keeps it fun!
I put down gym, but I attend a dance studio, too.
i try to stick to the gym, but man, sometimes i have to break it up and go for a walk or something because everything gets to routine and i typically get discouraged when that starts
You've got to have variety to keep interested and healthy for the long term. My combo is tennis, snowboarding, weights, treadmill, pilates, yoga, jogging outdoor, and home DVDs.. I'll try anything new to keep it fun! Falling into a workout dullness rut is too easy .. changing the activity is helpful in keeping a routine exciting.
I would love to workout outside, but know that it's getting darker earlier, it can be a challenge. I mostly workout at home now. Just pop in a workout dvd and start my routine.
Mine is a little bit of both gym and studio. I work part-time as a pole dancing instructor/trainer, so I spent 3 nights a week, for about 2-3.5 hours at the studio. But I also get my cardio time in at the gym as well (which I need to amp up a bit), and I'm about to start training for a marathon (OMG), so that will include time running outside on the weekends.
YAY, another pole dancer/instuctor!!! And what do ya know....I am training for a marathon as well!!! You rock Devious!
Pole girls unite!
I dance at a pole studio. Not an instructor, but I love to dance.
I vary my time between pole classes, PCD dance, water aerobics, spinning and weight training. So half in studio and half at gym (pools at the gym). Love the pool. Yay!
I hate going to the gym..however I must to use the elliptical..so I stretch at home and spend a decent amount of time on the machine and come home and do abs and light toning...
i'm a die hard gym girl...i get depressed when i don't go and people tell me that i can just run or workout at home, but it's just not the same thing!
Home and outdoors. I do not have time to go to the gym. I am a great multitasker. I do yoga in the dog park while the pups are playing and resistance work and dvds while dinner is on the stove or the laundry is going. Its the only way I'm going to keep fit.
winter/cool weather = gym
summer/ warm weather = home & outdoors
Basketball training! and you Have to go.
I mix it up, but I hit the gym 4 to 5 times a week, work with my great trainer, Holly, twice a week, and then try to hike and walk with my dogs as often as possible. Additionally, I have a pilates reformer in my home.
And, my neighbor often comes by to see if I'm up for a walk, which is great! It is all about moving, moving, moving.
Mostly at the gym, though sometimes I do some exercises at home.
My gym is amazing! It's very close to where I work and it is such an escape.
Home or outside for a run. I'm a poor student so I can't afford the gym.
