Instead of hitting the red carpet in NYC this weekend, Katie Holmes will be hitting the pavement, literally.
Somehow between being a mom to her adorable daughter Suri and fending off the media from following her everywhere she goes, Katie found time to train for the NYC Marathon that she is running in this weekend (Sunday November 4th). I am beyond shocked that we have not seen pictures of her training since the paparazzi manages to take pictures of every move she makes, but good for her.
I am always impressed with anyone who runs a marathon. It's such an incredible test of one's endurance. While I wish I could join the likes of Katie Holmes and Lance Armstrong at the marathon this weekend, I'll be cheering them on in spirit. In the meantime, I'll be running my own marathon in segments.
Good luck to them and anyone else who will be running it this weekend!

hmmm, if she's been training for a marathon, maybe that's how she lost all that weight. it would certainly be healthier if she lost it by running rather than by emulating posh.
1Good for her
2I wish her all the best!
Good for her...
Although I wonder how it will be with her running and well 5 body guards, ha.
3It's pretty cool that she's going to be doing the marathon. That takes some guts. I'm pretty sure Tom kept her locked up on a treadmill for the training though...he's kind of weird that way.
4I think that's great!
5Good on her, that's so great! Celebrity or not, any mother of a one year old who's fit enough to run a marathon should be very proud of themselves. Heck, I think ANYONE who can run a marathon should be very proud of themselves!

run like the wind
7good for her!
Good luck to all runners of the NYC Marathon! RunStrong and savor the glory at the finish line!
Run Like A Girl
8lol run like a girl
9eeeek I remember I trained for a half marathon on a treadmill because it was a horrible winter and just not possible to train outside, It did not prepare me for the hills, but good for her! I can't remember if the NYC marathon has hills but I"m sure it's nothing like Boston's Heartbreak hill
. She'll do great (she just has to envision herself running far from tom lol).
10Awesome!!
11I like her more now
Good for her! This is news for me. She doesn't really seem like a runner though.
