If you are looking for something to munch on in your kitchen and you see bananas, apples, grapes, strawberries, hummus, salad mixes, carrots, almonds, hard boiled eggs, celery, high fiber cereal, yogurt, and Oreos, which would you choose? Sure, you may say Oreos today, and maybe tomorrow too, but wouldn't you get sick of eating Oreos after a while?
My point is this: Keep a variety of healthy foods available, but just one kind of junk food (for those times when you need something sweet and unhealthy). Eating the same kind of cookies every single day will get boring, and you'll be more likely to dig into the wide variety of healthy goods rather than those same old cookies, again.
It may not work for everyone, but try it out and let me know if it works for you

So true! That's why we usualyl only try and keep ONE kind of junk food in the house. And it usually lasts awhile too (unless it's something I don't like and my bf munches it all up asap).
1That's a great tip.
I know day after day of one certain type of snack would get, well tiring and less appealing-even more reason to then eat healthy.
BTW I'd go for the hard boiled egg. (at least right now)
2I always have a well stocked fruit bowl on the counter, and some type of veggie salad in the fridge. I am the kind of person who will eat junk food if its in the house(usually late at night when no one else sees me) so I opted a few years ago to forgo buying the bad stuff and load up on the good stuff. It makes a huge difference.
3I took a tip from the Skinny b*tch diet and keep around "healthy" junk food - a.k.a carob/wheat-free/organic, that way I don't feel too bad about being bad:)
4doesn't work for me
i still love the cookies. but i allow myself only 2-4 a day with
my evening coffee (their pretty small).

6Very good idea
7I usually try to buy something sweet, but still somewhat healthy. We have a Costco membership so we only go for one thing since it will last FOREVER! My recent addiction has been the Kirkland's Organic Animal Crackers. Just a little sweet and a few cookies will satisfy our sweet tooth!
8I have a twixt, milky way and a snickers sitting on my desk, along with a pile of sunflower seeds. I so need a fruit bowl here at work.
9I'm trying to stay away from all junk food.
10I do this -- keep only one kind of unhealthy food in the house. I go for foods that feel extra indulgent because they're gourmet/a little pricey, even though I'm on a tight budget. This reinforces the idea that they are a special treat that I need to savor and make last! Also, they're less likely contain scary ingredients that I can't even pronounce.
