There are some health headlines that are worth sharing. Often the stories behind the headlines live up to their tag lines. Check out these three stories, on marriage and gender differences, all caught my eye and I had to share.
Sex lessons for 'cranky' miners – The BBC
To increase productivity, miners are given "tool box talks" on how to spice up their sex lives with their menopausal wives. Company bosses say giving their predominantly male employees lessons on menopause and foreplay gives them a healthy sex life, which in turn makes them happy, productive workers. Maybe folks will start saying, "Let's play miner."

Relationships often lead to weight gain – living together (or "living in sin" as granny likes to say) and marriage both seem to cause weight gain. If the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, this can't really come as much of a surprise, right?
The crying game: male vs. female tears – Yahoo News
Ellen's tearful plea sparked a controversy on crying in public. Seems that as a culture we think it is OK for men to cry but not women. The crying men are perceived as sensitive while crying women are seen as out of control. Now that makes me want to cry.

Great stories, I found the crying stereotype quite amusing.
1I would think the crying bit would be the other way around. Really, I'd be way more weirded out to see a guy cry in public than a woman.
2why is that everything is okay for men to do, even crying, but not for women? That lat bit of news was just downright depressing. We're women: we get to cry. And we should be able to do so without being made to feel bad about it. \
This really makes me hate men.

4Whenever I see a man cry, I think, 'what a p*ssy!'. Never once have thought it showed a sensitive side. As for women, I always think, 'she could do this at home'.
I don't know if that stereotype with crying is necessarily correct. I think men generally get a really hard time when they cry, especially from other men! And I've found that a lot of women are turned off by that too - admittedly, including myself. Unless, of course, it's death of a loved one or a bad breakup.

6Crying is releasing a huge vulnerability if done in front of someone else. My boyfriend's only cried a handful of times in the years we've been together. I love that he trusts me so much. I start crying if he's crying because I can't stand to see him so distressed. I can't for the life of me cry in public. It's always with a single individual and in the past few years only with my boyfriend.
7The article about gaining weight after you get married is kind of true. My hubby's put on about 20 lbs since we got married over 2 years ago. I haven't gained anything, but that's probably because I work out and he doesn't, lol.
