I love reading health magazines. They're perfect for long car rides, flights, or just when I'm sitting on the couch on a Sunday. They've got great tips on new exercises and recipes, and I love the motivational stories that inspire me to keep working out. Everyone has their favorite health mag, so what's yours?

Paul Smith
Michael Kors
Pedro Garcia
Shape pwns all.
1I have been reading Shape for years but I find the information in Women's Health a little fresher.
2HERS Muscle & Fitness is my absolute favorite. But I also enjoy Women's Health and Fitness RX.
3I'm a new health addict and I haven't yet thought to read health magazines yet. I've always stuck to Allure and Glamour, but this is a great idea! I think I'll start with Women's Health. It seems more authoritative than Self or Shape.
4I don't read magazines, especially after watching the documentary 'Killing us Softly.'
5It's actually a 4 way tie... I've spent way too much money keeping up with Self, Shape, Fitness and Women's Health. I've considered picking up Yoga Journal, but so pricey!
6Dressage Today
7Has to be Shape. They are the only women's fitness magazine (that I have found) that continually month after month provides great workouts, strength training routines, cardio workouts, etc.
I used to subscribe to Self but got so tired of all the "no gym" workouts that never left me sore and always left me desiring more.
Shape uses the gym and in fact, I put together a binder of all their weight lifting routines and one day one of the trainers at my gym came up to me and told me all the things I was doing were really advanced and cutting edge and asked me where I got my workouts!
If you're in the market for a fitness magazine that's about FITNESS get Shape.
8since i can't buy them here i just use internet for reading and i love self, other magazine's have very little information online
9Shape is probably my favourite fitness magazine but Cooking Light is my favourite overall healthy living magazine. It has great recipes and pictures to go along and also tips on exercise and other aspects to a healthy life.
10Mmmm I like Shape or Self!
11shape, self and fitness ae my faves. I subscribe to all 3. But I like Self the best, because they offer different stuff, not just regular gym stuff. I guess I'm the opposite of syako. I like stuff I can do anywhere anytime! I really like them all tho, I have soemthing of a magazine "problem"
12its alittle over the top some times!
13i like both shape and self. they both tell me what i wont to know.
14I find Women's Health very useful and unintimidating. Self and Shape are a little too glamourous for a person like me.
15Women's Health for me.
16I like a lot of them for different reasons, so it's hard to say which is my favorite!
17I like Shape.
18I used to read shape and self but didn't like them much because I felt they were too much like Cosmo and Glamour with maaaybe a couple more fitness articles. I got fed up and started reading men's health.
Then ever since Women's Health came out I've really liked it, so I get that.
19fitness. I love the before and after stories!
20Fitness Rx
21I love love love Self magazine because it gives you a little bit of everything. They have stuff that you can modify to your own liking and level.
22Fitness RX always has great up to date info and quite scientific at times.
Oxygen is great for hard core workout and eating plans.
Self is a well-balanced fitness-lifestyle mag but doesn't go very deep into anything. Still it's always informative and occupies my time on the elliptical trainer.
The rest, like Fitness, and Shape really don't bring anything new to the table it's all quite basic and fine for beginners but after a year or two it's time to graduate to the more in-depth publications
23HerSport.... It's a really down-to-earth magazine!
24i absolutely live by Oxygen- there is none better- hands down.
25I only read Fitness on a regular basis.
26i havent really read Shape before but i love SELF! i enjoy all the tips they have each month for fitness and beauty, etc. I also like there "if you have 3 extra minutes" section where they give ideas to do with a couple extra minutes.
27I really like Health — it's not the most hardcore fitness magazine by far, but it has a friendly tone and some great recipes.
28Women's Health & Fitness
29i read Shape & Self
30Women's Health, but sometimes I want a little more "fluff," and I'll also pick up Self or Shape.
31Fitness RX for Women is my absolute favorite! It offers blurbs about recent studies, offers great recipes and work-outs. I definitely like it way more than the other health mags!
32shape fan! self is ok too...never tried any others! i just grab whats near the checkout aisle, shame on me
33Love Shape and have for years, although I think the last editor was better.
I recently stopped reading Self when I realized it was taking me about 10 minutes to read the entire magazine each month. Pages and pages of common sense. I do like the Self Challenge, though.
34I like Fitness, but I also read Shape and Self because they're a little less intimidating. I do like Women's Health and Fitness too though. It's got some great stuff in it and it's a lot more hardcore than most other women's magazines. One that I don't read too often is Cosmo...it's too demeaning to women (if you don't believe me, read the lists of "things to do to please your man". Some of that stuff is JUST WRONG).
35I just started getting Fitness, but I didnt know there was a Woman's Health. I may have to start getting that too! I don't really like Shape or Self, I find them too fluffy. I get Vogue, I don't need to talk fashion, makeup, etc. in my fitness mags (although Fitness mag is a bit guilty of this too).
36I love Oxygen, Health & Fitness, Low Carb Energy, Low Carb Nutrition, and there is this other one that is slipping my mind at the moment because it went out of business after like 3 editions, which STINKS!
37I do love all the mags listed above though, except for the Yoga one, because I am not a Yogi!
These magazines SAVE ME at the gym!!!
muscle & fitness hers is by far the best out of all the magazines i've read...it actually encourages you to use substantial weight, instead of resistance bands and swiss balls and 5-pound dumbbells. and they have awesome healthy recipes, too. plus the women look healthy, instead of the other magazines where you can tell they just got skinny models to pretend to be lifting weights.
38I like Women's Health...so informative
39personally, i have a magazine ADDICTION (i just got 3 gossip mags) but have never settled on a fitness mag. but thanks 4 this poll. ill try shelf magazine as that seems to be winning at the moment! x
40I've subscribed to soooo many in that list before. "Health" magazine and "Fitness" magazine are the only two of the list that have consistently held my attention. It seems like so many fitness magazines these days will just print any old crap that oughtta be in Cosmo instead.
41Self!
