Yay to Ohio for being average!
1Um - runs and hides in a corner - I live in LOUISIANA! People need to move. How can you only do LESS THAN 10 minutes A WEEK of physical activity. What lazy bums I live with, huh?
2I am in Georgia! It doesn't surprise me that we made the sedentary list. I agree though, how can a person do less than 10 mins of physical activity a week? Do they never leave their beds? I would go crazy.
3washington woot woot
i'm surprised alaska is # 1 who woulda thought? i've always wanted to go there
that reminds
me..men in trees is tomorrow!
4Yup, yup! Washington baby! You know, who can resist climbing those mountains?
5Woohoo for Wisconsonites! I am surprised by that, however, we do hunt a lot up here.
I am really surprised that NY is only light blue. I would think that they would be darker blue at least for walking.
Fit: do you know if this survey counted physical activity as something that you don't do normally, such as walking for NY-ers? Because then that would make sense.
6Yeah VT - #2! Wahoo!
7Syako - same here! Maybe it's a food+heat combo? All I can say is that I groaned, but wasn't all that surprised, to see my state in the dark pink category.
8you from New orleans? (ps speaking of food, every time I see your avatar I want to eat a whole box of sprinkles, yum!)
9LOL Syako...speaking of being fat! J/K....It's funny that COLD states, people move more! You'd think they'd be holed up not wanting to exercise, lol.
California needs MORE nutrition help though.

wisconsin!
11oh no! Im in Louisiana! I just moved here from california and i can def say i work out LESS since ive been here.
12I'm from Kentucky and considering most of the people I know are overweight, I can definitely believe it. It's truly sad. In fact, they all look at me as if *I* am the one who is weird for working out 6 days per week.
13Hmm, I thought Californians would be at least in the top 5. Ah well. At least we made the top 10 of most active. Beaches, mountains, rivers, deserts, we have it all out here and can do most things at any time of the year. Yay!! Can't wait until spring for river rafting!
14I'm in one of the lazy states! (Georgia) At least I try to be pretty active!
15Woo hoo! At least Texas wasn't in the bottom 10...haha
16What about Colorado?
I thought we'd make the top 10! Oh well...
17Alaska doesn't suprise me -- I moved here two years ago and this state has made me an outdoorsy-wild woman! I hike to the top of crazy-hard mountains, run every other day, sail, fish... just because it's the lifestyle up here. Woot woot, Alaska!
18I would expect California to be in the top five also. I am from southern California and everyone obssessed with working out.
19CT came in the 50- 54.9% range. Not too bad however it could be better.
20WHATTT? i go to school in virginia.. and outside of the college town pretty much 99% of the people are overweight. new jersey seems to be much fitter then virginia, but maybe thats just because I live by the beach and poeple know they'll have to be in bikinis for 4 months out of the year.
21Yay for Wisconsin!!!! I'm actually kind of surprised that we made the top ten, but I guess a lot of people around here DO hunt, fish, ski, bike, etc. I'm surprised that a lot of the warm weather states are so inactive. If I didn't have to deal with winter, I think I'd be a LOT more active. I hate running in the snow.
22Thank god Ohio! A big YIPPEEEE for not being in the sedentary list!
23yeah, I'm glad Ohio is pretty average when it comes to being active.
