There are so many different types of cardio machines out there, from treadmills to ellipticals to Arc Trainers. If you've ever belonged to a gym, I'm sure you've tried them all. I know they can be pretty pricey, but I was wondering...

I did have one at one time but it ended up being a coat rack....
1I got one from my fiance's family (who had previously used it to hang clothes on.) Now it gets used all the time.
2there's something really motivating about doing the cardio machines next to someone else at the gym - like a mini personal competition that's just in my head!
3i have a treadmill but i only use it when i can't get to the gym
4I wish I had one at home. Especially now when it's raining all the time and I can't get out for a run.
5My mom and dad have one at their hosue that I use to use every now and then. Now I just use the ones at the gym. But if I had space for one at home I would totally buy one!
6yes I have stationary bike and stair master
7i want and elliptical machine bad! all i have are workout dvd's and weights i use right now. i have no room in my condo for a machine. hopefully when i get a house i can have a workout room!
8I want an elliptical, too! All I do are workout DVD's, too. But it's too expensive!
9I want an elliptical so badly!
10I'm very luck as I have a gym in my home. I use it *every day*... and there is a fitness trail right behind my house that runs along side a creek that winds from one side of town to the other. I use that at least once a week. I live in the south so the weather allows me to do that.
11I have an elliptical. I bought it from K-Mart in January. It was a really good price but it started squeaking a little after a while.
12I try to use it regularly, but my boyfriend thinks it's ugly and hides it in the corner.
I want an elliptical but would want a nice one...if I got a cheap one that started squeaking or shaking I would quit using it for sure!!
13i am really thinking about getting a stationary bike for the new year.
14I have an elliptical at my parents house and I use it somewhere in between using it every week to rarely turning it on. lol
15I so wish I had one, but they are expensive, and my apartment is small. I know I would work out more because the gym always takes so much more time because it takes 15-20 minutes to just drive there. Ugh.
16I do have a cardio machine, my body!
Ok, sorry that was super cheesy, but in all honesty no I don't. I wish I could but I live on the second floor in an apartment building, it would be too noisy!
17I have a treadmill and a bike and before I got pregnant (and feel crappy) used both nearly every day. I'm too lazy to hit a gym, but love working out at home. Now both just sit there collecting dust while I wish I could use them. But I figure it might be convenient when the baby comes and I can squeeze in some workout time while he naps or sleeps (hopefully!).
18You can't buy the cheap ones. They are the ones that break or aren't smooth, so people stop using them. Plus, knowing that you spent thousands of dollars on a machine will definitely motivate you to use it. I would buy both a treadmill and an elliptical (plus some weights and a bosu ball) tomorrow if I had the space. My one bedroom condo just doesn't have room though. As soon as I buy a house in the next few years, I am totally pimping the basement or spare room into a gym.
19I LOVE my elliptical, except for the fact that it's big and ugly and takes up space in our living room (at least we have the fold up kind so it doesn't take up the WHOLE living room). I am so much more likely to work out at home than to go to the gym... there are lines at the gym, and it's a 20 minute walk just to get there and I'm pissed if I walk and then have to wait MORE to get on a machine. At home, I can use it whenever I want, I pick what's on the TV, and I can multitask. Generally I start cooking dinner, pop it in the oven, do 30-45 mins on the elliptical stopping once in the middle to check on dinner, and then when I am done working out, dinner is ready. Can't do that at the gym!
20I have a treadmill and stationary bike in the garage that only my cousin uses. I hate to use the treadmill because I can't stand the squeaky noises it makes so I just go to the gym, plus we have fitlinxx so it makes it kinda fun to earn points every time you work out.
21Yes, and I use it every week.
I own a stairmaster & stationary bicycle, both professional gym brands, yes they are pricey, but they go along for years and years instead of those cheap ones made out of plastic.
22I have three. A bike, elliptical, and a treadmill. I never use the bike, sometimes use the elliptical, and always use the treadmill. And by the way I have decided that starting today I will be a serious dieter. Gotta get this weight off.
23I wish I did, that way any time I watch tv I could also just be burning off some calories, even if its only by walking.
24because i have such little free time, let alone barely any time for the gym, it would make my life so much easier to have a machine at home. i'd really like an elliptical, but it's too expensive and probably too big for my little apartment.
25Yes and I use it every week.
26I really want a treadmill especially in this cold season it makes it hard to trek to the gym
27I have a treadmill, but I rarely use it
. I remember I wanted on soooo bad, and I thought I
would use it everyday (yeah right) lol! I think I used it for the first 3 months, now I use it for a coat hanger. lmao
. I think I'll start using it next week.
28I will hopefully own an Elliptical after Christmas.
I've wanted one for a long time, my sister got one two years ago and I was so jealous! So he *promised* we can get one for Christmas. I'm crossing my fingers.
29Renovating the basement! An elliptical for me, a pool table for my husband, and a wide screen TV w/PS3 for our teenagers. That's Christmas for everyone.
30I have a rowing machine but it's broken.
31I cycle everywhere and go to the gym 4 times a week.
We have a really nice gym-quality elliptical, and I use it every day the weather is not good enough to run outside, which is all winter and much of the fall! It's already too cold here for me, so I am inside until spring.
32I've got an elliptical that I bought from someone on craigslist for $75. It works perfectly (even the electronics) but the guy decided it was "too old" and bought a new one and had no use for it anymore. I've got it setup in our garage, by our weight machine (also craigslist), a stereo and small TV with a DVD/VHS player. It's awesome.
33I have one, but I totally don't use it as much as I should.
34I have a low-end treadmill that I got for free from a coworker who never used it. It's nothing fancy, and it manages to be amazingly loud. I watch DVDs with the subtitles on while I walk on it, or I watch the Food Network, which doesn't really require being able to hear the audio. I'd like to upgrade someday to a better treadmill. The last time I used an elliptical machine I got bad tendinitis in my ankles(!?).
35I want an elliptical like something fierce - I'd use it often and could drop my gym membership, as I get my weight training done doing pole dancing (it works an amazing amount of muscles)...
