Are you an egg fan but just don't have the time or resources to have egg whites at work? Well a new product has made it so you can.
Egg Whites "On-The-Go" is a new and unique product where all you have to do is simply microwave and it automatically scrambles and cooks the eggs in the container — all in under two minutes! The egg whites have not been frozen or processed so they should taste just like if you cracked them from your own eggs at home (and then cooked them in the microwave). What's more? They've been heat pasteurized and salmonella tested so they can be safely consumed in a protein drink, whipped for meringue, or even eaten raw (if you so dare). It costs a little over $3 for a 4 pack (4 eggs per container), so you're paying a pretty penny for convenience. However if you'd love to eat eggs whites anytime, anywhere then you'd probably enjoy Egg Whites "On-The-Go". Check out ordering details at eggology.com.
I like the theory, but have not tried them, so let me know if you have and what you think in the comments section below.

Ewww I can't stand the smell or taste of microwaved eggs. I like the idea, but wouldn't be able to go with it.
1This is great! I love egg whites but don't have access to a kitchen in my sorority house...but I can make these in the micro--fabulous!
2Eww...I bet these taste pretty gross...
3I liek my way...but I am pciky with eggs in the first place I guess.
I eat a lot of hard-boiled egg whites. I have a feeling that my office would freak if I heated up egg whites here in the microwave...they are very particular about smell in the kitchen.
On a side note, I really like to eat protein in the morning (it totally effects the way I eat the rest of the day), but I am getting tired of egg whites. Does anyone have any suggestions?
4try soymilk and a high protein cereal! if you have a trader joe's near you check there.
also try to mix salsa into your eggs.. yum
5I read about these on another Web site and wanted to give them a try. I used the store locator on the eggology Web site and none of the stores in my area that they listed actually carried them. If I am ever able to get my hands on them I will let you know how they are.
6That makes me nauseous just reading it.
7I would totally try these. The fact that these are portioned out and portable is cool. Microwaved eggs aren't the best, but it works when I'm pressed for time. I know they sell Eggology brand at Whole Foods, but not sure if they have this product. Will be checking for it next time I'm there. I like to dress up my egg whites by sauteing a little garlic in a pan (the kind sold in the jar)and then adding the egg whites and some spinach. Sometimes melt low fat cheese on top too. Yum!
8How convenient! I'm TOTALLY getting these!
I already get egg whites in a carton and microwave them. This just makes it that much easier for me!
9I'll check out the store locater and see if they have a location near me - I'd definitely want to try these!
10I buy the cartons of egg whites. They are a bit more expensive than buying real eggs but you can cook with them and freeze them.
11I think that sounds gross.
12That photo is not helping...
13i haven't seen the portioned on-the-go packs yet, but they sell eggology at sunflower market here in az. i've bought it, and it's good, but personally i think eggwhites alone are very tasteless (read: unsatisfying). i typically only use them for omelets or scrambles with veggies... i wonder if you can put stuff in the cup to mic with the eggs?
14I don't know... I like eggs but these look a little scary!
15much healthier.
16Good idea, but not for me. The idea of microwaving my eggs squicks me out.
17ewwww this is gross...
18These would be good for me, i could make my egg sandwiches at work.
19That really is the weirdest thing ever. If you're that concerned about only eating egg whites, I'm pretty sure you can get up ten minutes earlier and separate them and cook them properly... Yikes!
20These are SUPER convenient! They taste just like regular eggs even though you microwave them. Everyone loves them where I work so we actually have them delivered from the company to us. Totally worth it!
21I've microwaved eggs at work before (in a plastic container) which was much cheaper than this. Over three dollars for four containers? I like the convenience, but no thanks...
