Fish is one of the best ways to incorporate both lean protein and the nutritional superstar omega-3 fatty acids (found in large amounts in cold water fish) into your diet. However, there are fears of ingesting dangerous levels of mercury that can be found in fish, as well as the environmental impact of over fishing to be factored into your meal planning. Plus, health agencies often give out conflicting information on the subject.
I try to eat salmon once a week, but must admit I fail terribly. How about you...

Patrizia Pepe
Rochas
Mango
2-3 times a week. I love eating Halibut and Salmon.
1Salmon, cod, and tuna.
2I really disliked fish until recently. I'm so glad I've seen the light! I'm still pretty bad at cooking it, but I love fish entrees in restaurants.
3i really don't like fish, but I keep trying it because I WANT to like it. I know its so good for you and my best friend is hawaiian, she always tries to get me to eat it. But I just can't handle it. Ugh
4I love fish, but I haven't been eating it so much. Salmon, swordfish, halibut, cod, tuna, mahi mahi...Oh so yummy!
5Usually once a week I munch on it
6LOL no spot for 7 days a week?? I'm a seafood junkie, especially albacore! Mmmmm
7I LOVE fish, but as I'm in college and end up eating cafeteria food a lot (sad =( ) I don't get it as much as I'd like. I only ever get fish if I get it out at a restaurant.
8I love fish. I have it about twice a week. Then I have shrimp 2-3 times a week.. I'm a seafood girl, what can I say? It's a function of living in a fishing town.
9i love, love, love fish! I dont eat too much of it since im by myself. its too much work cooking for one person.
10I usually make my friday night Salmon and subsequently have left overs through the weekend. However, I intend on incorporating another fish into my diet. Can anyone recommend something that isn't very fishy, like Salmon? I live in Florida, so I do have access to seafood, but I am not a huge fan. To me, Salmon doesn't taste like fish. I'm afraid to buy a fish, waste my money and then realize it is gross, hahah.
11Salmon, shrimp, and halibut for me. Not all that often though, because I tend to prepare simple meals unless I'm cooking for multiple people. I'm spoiled though- my dad's a commercial fisherman in Alaska so I get nothing but the best!
12I eat a lot of salmon, tilapia and tuna regularly. Usually 2-3 times per week. Sometimes more.
13I can't stand any seafood. I come from a family of seafood lovers. I mean vacations to Maine specifically for lobster, etc. My father is allergic to shellfish but he eats everything else. I've tried everything but don't like any of it. All my friends, hubby, etc. love seafood, sushi, etc. and are always making me taste it thinking I'm gonna fall in love...hasn't happened in 33 years, don't think it will.
I do take my fish oil caps though..lemon flavored.
14I don't eat it enough. I LOVE seafood. As a kid I always requested my birthday dinner at the local seafood place. However, as an adult I rarely eat it. I think that's because I am too intimidated to cook anything other than salmon, and when I go to restaurants the price-concious side of me make me too guilty to order it. Also, restaurants can coat it in butter, oil, alfredo saucse, etc.
15I eat fish like 5 times a week! Coming from Hong Kong, we eat a hellavu lot of the stuff! Also, I'm a pescetarian, so that's pretty much where 90% of my protein comes from. Apart from my chickpea-enriched rice milk, which I looooove.. I eat snapper, cod, salmon, tuna, halibut... the list goes on...
16I always have some fish in the freezer, right now tuna, salmon and a bag of shrimp and scallops (thank you trader joes). I usually also buy some kind of fresh once a week or so. I'm a huge fan of fish - it doesn't take long to cook. Tonight hubby and I are making spicy salmon, coconut rice and sauteed spinach - yum
17Ever since I moved to Japan, fish has become a staple food. And i feel better too. It fills you up without making you feel heavy!
18It's the only meat I eat, so I get plenty, but I'm careful to only get low-mercury fish and types that aren't over-fished.
19I eat no animal products, except fish, so I eat it at least 4 times/week. I eat tuna strait out of the packet and I love it. Also good to shove it in a pita.
20four times a week, sometimes even more... I mean, Japan is like THE country for eating fish: sushis, sashimis, unagis, tempura, kanikani etc etc... you can eat fish every day for lunch AND dinner and not even realize it...
Now, when/if I ever come back to France, that'll be another thing entirely!
21Fish is one of my favorite foods, and it's so healthy. I wish I could eat it more, but it's pretty pricey and I still live with my parents haha. My favorites are salmon, haddock, and tilapia.
22I Love fish!
Give me a nice flaky mild white filet... yum!

26. People should be aware of both the risks and benefits of seafood. The decision of what fish to eat can be a challenge and often contradictory. At the very least, people should know that FDA and EPA have issued advisories about mercury contamination in commonly-sold fish. The problem is, this information is hard to find and is not usually available where it is most necessary: your supermarket.
Oceana, a conservation group, is trying to get major grocery companies to post this government advice at their seafood counters. Thanks, in part to their work, Whole Foods, Safeway stores, and Wild Oats voluntarily agreed to post the FDA’s recommendations and they have had positive responses from customers and no loss in seafood sales. But other companies like Wal-Mart, Costco, and Giant have refused to do so. Oceana has a list of which companies care about their customers’ health enough to post this advice, as well as a list of companies that don’t. You can get the Green List and Red List at their website.
27I don't care for most fish, which is bad, I know. I used to eat a lot of tuna, but my doctor warned me that I should eat it only 3 times a week, max, due to the mercury levels. I tried to switch it up with salmon, but I don't like it as much. I try to eat tuna and salmon whenever I get the opportunity, but other fish is kind of gross to me. I do take fish oil pills though.
28EVERYDAY!
