The Federal Trade Commission has charged Kevin Trudeau with violating a court order by allegedly misrepresenting the contents of his book, “The Weight Loss Cure ‘They’ Don’t Want You to Know About,” in several infomercials.
Here's the issue:
According to the FTC, when consumers buy and read the book, they find it actually describes a complicated, expensive system involving daily injections, specialized cleanses and supplements, and severe food restrictions, followed by a “fourth phase” of the protocol, which requires dietary restrictions and never ends. The FTC alleged that Trudeau deceptively claimed that the book establishes a weight-loss protocol that is “easy” to follow and that once the protocol ends, consumers can eat what they want without regaining weight.
So what do you guys think about this? As far as I am concerned about 99% of all diet products are misleading, so perhaps they are using Trudeau as an example. Maybe he is the Paris Hilton of the health world and the FTC's way of warning everyone else to watch themselves. Has anyone even tried the Weight Loss Cure program? I know what the Weight Loss Cure is!!! I practice it every day and I've lost 40 lbs so far. It's called DIET AND EXERCISE! This guy is making money off of the weak and hopeful. He should be made an example of.
1Whatever happened to watching what you eat, eating veggies and fruit and moving? Why does it all have to be so complicated? I am a huge fan of counting calories and trying to get my fruit and veggies in. That's it! Well, and running 3x a week at the min.

3Kevin Trudeau is a disgrace to the alternative health industry. Guys like him are what convince the FDA to push to ban natural remedies.
4It is true- I preordered this book - so excited to read it. It turns out that in order for this to be true you need expensive hormone shots that is almost impossible to get!!! I like his other books but this one is an embarassment.
5This guy is a punk. His first book- same thing but natural cures instead of diet- didn't have any actual cures in it. He'd BS about knowing a cure for cancer, but the government banning him from saying what it is. Then diabetes, same thing. He claims to know so much, yet offered nothing. He's a thief and a liar, and I hope none of you fall for his scam.
