If you've ever looked at someone with flat abs and thought, I'll never have that, it's time to stop the negative thinking.

Guess what? Most of us do have flat abs they just may be hidden under a pesky layer of fat. The good news, a few months (maybe more, maybe less) of cardio and strength training can help reveal that flat midsection of yours.
Fit's Tip: If you're a mom who's seen a major change in your abs after having a baby, and are still laughing at the above statement, don't count yourself out of the flat abs group yet. It just may take a little extra effort on your part, but some cardio and strength training, including serious core work, can really bring your abs back to flat.

I'm trying really hard to flatten mine and so far so good! I've noticed a lot of chanegs this past month from going on the treadmill alongwith my weight trinaing!
1my baby pudge is still there. : ( I'm not giving up though!!!
2I've always had a rather flat stomach, and I've always (visualize the idea of a 6 pack) had the top two sections developed well, but I have issues with the other 4 sections below. I need to get back into a routine of exercise to get a killer stomach. I think this is the kick I needed. Now if I can just get someone to recommend something to help me out developing the rest of my stomach...any helpers?
3mine are flat!!.. just gotta loose that extra 5 lbs to really really see it!!.. but thats what work out class and weight training is for YAY!
4So what exercises specifically will target my belly flab? HELP! I'm losing weight, but my belly flab is my worst enemy.
5I just cannot get motivated to work out! Help!
6Pilates really defined my abs, I strongly recommend it!
7i loooove cardio!
8its probably my favorite thing to do.
i just love a good sweat. gross as that may sound.
i feel like im sweating out all my stress.
even when i was 105, i never had flat abs.
9-> haute77: me neither. i guess some people just can't get flat abs, despite working out loads and watching what they eat.
even if i get my bodyfat down to unhealthy levels, all the remaining fat will be on my stomach, no matter what.
10ive never had flat abs. not when i was a kid, not when i was anorexic and weighed 85 lbs, not when i was better and weighed 100 lbs...how do i get them?!?!?!!!!!! i really really want them!!!!
11Um, I've had 2 c-sections (and 3 kids) and despite running 4+ miles a day and puffing my way through 300 crunches I still don't have flat abs. Yes, you can feel the muscle under there, but there's a certain amount of, shall we say "elephant skin", that will always be there. I'd look great if I had surgery, but that's not my bag and I'm proud of my stretchmarks and scars. Isn't it a little irresponsible to tell EVERYONE that they can have a flat stomach? Not everyone is the same.
