Turkey Trot!! I LOVE getting in a really intense workout the morning of Thanksgiving or before Christmas dinner. On one hand, your body will be moving and account for at least some of the indulgent calories you'll consume later on. On the other hand for me, it also keeps me calm for what is usually a fairly overwhelming family gathering.
1Anyone have any tips on politely declining food? I find I always fall into the trap of "you have to have some of X, Aunt Edna brought it!" or "you simply have to try Y, I made it from scratch!". I find my self over eating and making poor decisions so no one's feelings are hurt.
2Anonymous, my ex-boyfriend's family used to do that to me, and I just said no thank you (and repeatedly if necessary). You shouldn't have to feel guilty about or justify not eating something you don't want to.
3I wont be doing any of these (except eating breakfast). Lots of eating and drinking, especially the pie!
