Maybe the beer slinging, cigarette smoking, professional competitive eater is the kind of man you're looking for.

Or maybe you want someone who's a little bit healthier. Match.com took a closer look at the singles scene nationwide and here's what they found out about the health and fitness lifestyles of singles in cities across the country:
| Cities where you will find singles hitting the gym: | Cities committed to healthy diets: |
|---|---|
| San Francisco Los Angeles Boston Washington, D.C./Arlington Seattle New York Chicago Atlanta Philadelphia Dallas/Fort Worth |

I'm not single, but if I were, my very own bay area is looking like a good place to meet healthy singles...

Jucca
Lipsy
Christian Dior
Interesting how all of those places are major cities.
1Wow, Atlanta is looking pretty good! Never would have guessed it..
2Yeah I thought Atlanta was just like the rest of us in the south - loving the fried chicken!!
3Aren't the all the same lists, just the cities are in different order? I'm surprised Philly made the lists!
4Passion... also surprised Philly made the list!!! If you leave the bubble that is center city and enter the other sections, they uh... don't look so health conscious!!! (please see my dad for example)
5Oh no 7kimba7...I live in Center City, and the sidewalks are full of people who, well, take up the entire sidewalk...while smoking and eating a cheesesteak!
(For the record I am not one of them! I'm training for a triathlon!!)
6Go California! I love my state haha. I remember visiting chicago a couple years ago and was confused when the hostess asked smoking or non? We were like Whaaaa? OH YEA people are allowed to smoke indoors here. WEIRD! We haven't had that here forever. My dad (a musician) used to have to change in the garage out of his clothes that he played in b/c they would stink up the whole house. Seems like so long ago.
7Passion... So true! what gym do you go to?
8I'm surprised about Philly being up there for healthy diets. Not SO much for hitting the gym... and actually, a little surprised it wasn't higher up for veg-lovers. There are so many vegetarian-friendly places in all parts of the city, it seems. Even the stadiums are catering towards vegetarians, now.
Were these the only cities they used? if not, I'd like to see a longer list, just out of curiosity.
9I'm surprised about Philly seeing as live in Philly.
