Organic is hot right now. We open our wallets to anything and everything organic but is it just good marketing?

Certified Organic means that the final product must be 95% organic and has already been certified by an agent from an accredited agency. While it is not 100% organic, produce or agricultural products bearing this seal were produced according to organic standards so you know they are legit.
Fit's Tip: When buying organic, try to buy Certified Organic.
Other terms to watch: Organic, 100% Organic, Made with Organic Ingredients.

Good call FitSugar. I try to get my produce from Trader Joes. I never thought in a million years I'd ever doubt the produce dept. in regular grocery stores. It just sucks that we have to pay more for it. But my health is worth it.
1I know a couple people who get irritated because the organic produce is kept near non-organic. Personally, I don't think there is enough cohabitation occuring to warrant the drama. I got a list of the 10 most important things to buy organic and I try to stick to it. Otherwise, it is just too expensive.
2Do you want me to post the list, DRC?
Please, post the list! It's true 3 sweeties, they put it literally next to the non-organic.
3Hey everyone- If you are interested, I posted a blog about the most important items to buy organic. I printed mine out and put it in my wallet for when I go to the grocery store. I hope it helps you. I never knew what I "should" buy, and what was not as important. This way, you can go organic on a budget, or just limit the things you eat non-organic.
4And no, I am not wearing Birkenstocks right now- I don't even own any! lol
