I'm becoming a big fan of DailyBurn — a website that lets its users track workout, diet, and health goals in easy-to-read charts and graphs. There's a ton of great health and fitness information on the site and it has a social side that lets users interact with other members.
If you're not very tech savvy, don't be afraid. The site is easy to use and is laid out in a friendly and intuitive way. There are three main areas to DailyBurn — nutrition, exercise, and social networking. To find out how they work, read more.
Nutrition: This is basically an online food journal on steroids. Its food database contains the details of close to 200,000 foods, which makes it easy to track your diet and calorie intake and get a complete nutritional breakdown of what you're eating. There's also a pretty good database of healthy recipes, too.
Exercise: In this area you can design a fitness program for yourself or use one of the 80,000+ existing programs already on the site. If you don't understand an exercise, it's OK, because DailyBurn has tons of videos detailing the exercises. The exercise tracking tool is awesome — you can track your stats for weight loss, muscle gain, strength, and endurance. If you need better improvement in a certain area, it's really easy to adjust your fitness program.
Social Networking: This is where DailyBurn really sets itself apart from other sites. Use this section to find online workout partners and confidants who end up being your biggest cheering section while you reach your goals. And if you like a little healthy competition, you can go up against one another in fitness challenges much like The Biggest Loser. There are also groups members can join depending on their interest.
The basic tools on DailyBurn are free but paid members get access to advanced options like meal planning. The site is a great tool for burning fat and gaining muscle, as well as helping make smarter food choices. I like that I don't need to spend a lot of time inputting information onto DailyBurn because everything I need is already in its databases and navigation tools.

Did they pay you for this? Why didn't you disclose this is a paid site?
1This is similar to the site that I use for the past 18 months. www.fitday.com.
2It says Join for free on the site....
3It sounds too good to be free, but correct me if I'm wrong.
4It probably is free. I use a site called myfitnesspal.com that seems similar. I'll give this one a try if it is free though.
5I use sparkpeople.com, and it is also pretty much the same thing. I love it, if anyone's hunting for a site to use
6Thanks for the comments about DailyBurn! We appreciate the writeup.
To answer some questions, DailyBurn is free, with a a premium option for those who want a little bit more. It isn't time limited, so you can use the free options forever as long as you are happy.
Best Regards,
Andy Smith (Co-founder of DailyBurn)
7Daily Burn is a pretty good site for tracking workouts, but I found sparkpeople.com to be a better, more helpful website. SP has many workouts listed you can do with and without weights (e.g. genie sits).
8Wow, it looks pretty cool! I might check it out!
9I agree with the people who have mentioned Spark People. It's a great site and is completely free. Though I am actually overwhelmed at times, there is so much info. And be careful if you sign up for daily emails. I was almost emailed to death in the beginning.
10There's a freebie iPhone app for this site too. Pretty sweet. And you can upgrade to the paid version if you like, but you don't have to.
11Just checked out Sparkpeople - they look good. However, I have all my data in other website ... hard to switch over for me now. If I start from scratch, I will definitely use Sparkpeople.
12I've been using the daily plate on livestrong.com since april and love it! I have online friends who hold me accountable for exercise and food. It has helped me switch from losing weight in unhealthy ways to trying to be the healthiest I can be.
13I joined the Jillian Micheal's site. I like the recipes, I don't always follow the meal plan exactly but I HATE the food log and lack of feedback. I already paid for the JM site so I want to use it for now but this looks like a better choice. Anyone know- do they help you plan/suggest meals or just record? And workouts? Thanks!
14I checked out this site about a month ago, and was shocked that I actually had to pay to see stats such as sodium. That's their "premium" services, showing stats that a number of other sites show for no money at all. Mind boggling they think this is okay.
15I don't monitor my calories and stuff but I love sites like mapmyfitness.com and mapmyrun.com. If you are concentrating on distance and time, you can map out your workouts and it has a nice calendar feature that shows your monthly progress. It's free too. I'll have to check out these websites also.
16I have been using DailyBurn for a while now, and yes it is free. They do have a paid Pro membership (about $60 per year) that offers expanded resources, but the free membership offers a lot.
17I love daily burn. Downloaded the app.
