Halloween is all about light-hearted spookiness, but I'll tell you, I saw something shockingly scary at the grocery store — the labels on Halloween candy. Corn syrup, food coloring, and the worst, hydrogenated oil. Companies still use this type of trans fat even though we know it's been linked to heart problems, miscarriages, obesity, and belly fat. Let's see if you know which candy to avoid this year.
Question 1 of 10
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

High
Alexander McQueen
Star by Julien Macdonald
This was "shocking" to you? It's crappy candy. It's not like we are talking expensive Belgian chocolate.
1I noticed the sticky/gooey candy tended to have the hydrogenated oils.
2TOTALLY agree LaurenG22. it's CANDY, its not health food. I am going to eat some damn candy at Halloween, and I'm going to enjoy feeling all the crap seep through my veins. and then I'm going back to eating a healthy balanced diet and I will not feel at all guilty. I really hate these types of 'articles'.
35/10 - not so good. peanut butter cups are my favorite, but i'm sure i'll stick have 1 or 2 fun size snickers. yummmmm
4I'm just glad that M&M's don't have it. Those are my fav!!
5not shocking... and don't care.
6Candy is bad for you? I had no idea. I guess I won't eat the whole bag now.
7Reese's doesn't have hydrogenated oil but they have Artificual flavors and presevatives. Not to mention GMOS. Not that it'll stop me from eating them. They're my favorite.
8Man...don't we have a bunch of grouchy fitsugar readers? If you don't want to read the post....then surely you wouldn't take the time to comment on how much you don't care about it.
9All I can say is wow.
I am always shocked at how easily these chemicals are accepted as foodstuffs by our society. I'm guilty of the same, obviously, but I'm working on cutting out as much as I can.
