I think Dairy Queen's tag line is Do Something Different because they want us to go against the healthy eating and just blow it all at their fine establishment. Don't get me wrong, I had my fair share of Blizzards in college however after learning the nutritional information, I am not sure a Blizzard will ever cross these lips again. So next time you're doing something different, make sure you go informed with this nutritional breakdown.
(Oh, and for your convenience I've highlighted the choices that are your best bet in green.)

Aftershock
Gross gross gross.
1oh my god i could lived without knowing that, but its soooo worth all the calories.. anyone agree???
p.s
2what about cold stone??
tyra coldstone is horrible. a nightmare. and it's not worth the calories. I'd rather some frozen yogurt with bananas than that any day. Why would you want to eat half of your daily calories in a small cup!
Here's cold stone information
Yep, a love it cake batter has almost 550 calories. you better love it love it.
3as fitsugar always prescribes, moderation is the key. If you get coldstone once a year on your birthday who cares?
I usually get the small dipped cone from DQ. 340 calories...not the best but, i could do a lot worse. i went there for the first time in over a year on my boyf's birthday. it was as good as i reember. nothing is better than that first bite.
4syko i am not sayin i have it like once a month or anything just like cravinsugar said once a year is okay..i have to live a little
5I sure do care. Not because of calories, I can work those off, but you cant work off trans fat.
6I dont want to put ANY in my body, not even one day of the year.
thank god i finally convinced my fiance to stop going to dairy queen and start going to tcby...the nonfat SF mint chocolate soft serve is amazing, as is the nonfat SF white chocolate macadamia nut with lots of fresh fruit...so much better than DQ...coldstone is a weakness, so i just stay away from it
7Actually at Coldstone you can get their "sinless" base icecream and load it up with fruits (bananas, strawberries, blackberries, etc...)...as long as it's the small size it's not too bad. All of their nutritional information is available on their website.
8Ok, that is gross. I used to LOVE the oreo blizzard but I haven't had one in about 6 years.....guess I won't be having one anytime soon!
9Last time I went to Cold Stone, I got their Sinless Sweet Cream and had it with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. It was heaven!!!!
10Yes, this is bad if you're eating it all the time. We all know that. But if you're doing everything else right, I see no harm in indulging in some DQ or Coldstone every once in a while. You only live once, so you may as well enjoy it. And I enjoy ice cream!
11Bllaaaahhhh!
12ew, no way. that flamethrower thingy is almost a whole days worth of calories
13I'll stick to Subway, thankyouverymuch. At least if I'm going to eat 700 calories worth of sandwich, it's going to have some veggies on it.
14that chicken 6 piece basket, omgggg!!
15I think you misunderstood me - I eat ice cream all the time. In fact, pretty much every night. But, I don't eat 800 calories worth of ice cream. I eat about 150-300 calories of great ice cream (blue bell and frozen yogurt from this delish place by my house). But, all day I eat really healthy so that I can enjoy that after dinner. My goodness, if I didn't ever eat sweets I'd die of boredom and insanity.
Sure go ahead and eat it once a year or even once a month. I was just saying that 800-1,000 calories of anything just doesn't make me happy.
16The DQ's in my hometown never served the hot foods. I love a good hot fudge sundae, but the fact that there was a very small parking lot for DQ and my a/c is broken so I can't get the pseudo-ice cream home without having a puddle always kept me from going there.
17Places like ColdStone (and here, Marble Slab and Amy's Ice Cream) make their ice cream with the real stuff, like real cream and whole milk and never any ice. That's what makes them so good, and so full of calories and fat.
My guilty pleasure is gelato - it's less fattening than ice cream and it's much thicker so that a smaller amount lasts a much long time. The Whole Foods in Austin sells it homemade - it is soooooo good!
18What everyone is saying is true that of course it is bad for you, but isn't the most important thing that we are NOT to deny our bodies what they crave, because the next time we may very well overindulge? I go to Dairy Queen on a hot summer day and want a blizzard. I will get a small and only eat half, saving the other half for the next day, plus I work out extra hard. Ice Cream is my weakness. I much prefer Edy's Slow Churned which is heaven! =) Or try their new yogurts. The Chocolate Fudge Brownie is delicious!
19I remeber going to DQ after EVERY softball game for a total of 10 years... no wonder I was so chubby growing up!
20That is just beyond stupid. No one goes to Dairy Queen to eat health food! Having dairy queen every now and then won't kill you if you live a healthy lifestyle.
21I hate Dairy Queen. Last year, my hubby and I stopped in for a burger...I *knew* it wasn't health food, but was expecting about 450-500 calories and about 40 grams of fat or so for my trouble. Imagine my shock and dismay when I found out my burger (the flamethrower - EEK) had 1000 calories and 90 grams of fat. That should be freaking illegal.
And don't get me started on the fact that a small blizzard is like 2 meals!
22I love dairy queen! I eat there about three times a year (summer only,of course!). I know it's not healthy, but I am not going to pretend that the
23LOVE ICE CREAM!
24YIKES!
25omg i live a very health lifestyle. i eat pretty much all oragnic foods but i really have a bad sweet tooth and i like to give in once in a while. its not like i am going to go for the highest calories the fudge bar would be fine
26i always got mad when people said they wanted ice cream and then went to dairy queen - which has soft serve rather than what i call ice cream! ah. i hate that place. i especially hate when people insist on going and i have to come since it is called dairy queen and i am vegan so there is nothing i can eat.
27Holy Moly, I remember back in the day when I used to eat this crap: it was DELICIOUS! HAHAH! LOVED EVERY BITE...well I only did try the ice cream so I am not too sure on how good the "burgers" and stuff are...hm, real meat? Probably not!
28Woah! good thing i only eat a blizzard like once a year.. and i do it up good! a mudpie blizzard with snickers... oh baby tha'ts off the charts! hahah
29they do have the sugar free fudgescicles now that aren't too bad at all.
30we dont have DQ where i live but i loooove their chocolate dipped cones. You dont even want to know how many times we went when we were in illinois
31lol @ flamethrowers calorie count...Never heard of it and now im kinda glad
32I can't believe how fatty chicken strips are!
Good thing I never go to Dairy Queen.
3373 grams of fat in one burger! What are they putting in there? And just looking at the sodium levels is making me thirsty.
34My butt and thighs thank you for this information!! I'll be staying away from the queen now I think!!
35okay, the chicken basket, does that include the stuff that comes with it? like the chicken dinner at sonic- it has a lot of fat and calories. but the dinner comes with gravy, fries, two peices of bread and an onion ring. there you go! i never eat those parts. it's not just chicken in these dinners. they're assuming you're eating EVERYTHING in the basket or dinner. so consider that.
36I grew up in a rural area and the closest fast food was 15 min away, and it was a Dairy Queen and that was IT for a long time (now there's McD's, Sonic, & Subway). But I can remember eating the Chicken Strip Basket with Gravy & Texas Toast. Mmmmm mmmm mmm that was good. I was horrified with I learned how bad it was for you (I found out when I was in high school & started reading nutritional info).
While I was on a diet a while back, my boyfriend actually went to Dairy Queen & got the Chicken Strip basket and ate it right in front of me. I was SOOOOOO angry. He can eat that crap & not gain weight. Bastard.
