5 Things About Working Out in Water
This summer you may be looking to hit the water for a workout (or two) because it is a lot cooler than sweating it out on the asphalt during a run. In case you needed more reasons to get a water workout in, here are five great things about working out in the water:
- It is low-impact.
- Works muscles that are not typically used in you normal gym routine.
- The pressure of water on the body (aka hydrostatic pressure) improves blood circulation.
- Your pretty much covered up by the water, so no worrying about how your body looks while working out.
- Next-day muscle soreness should be nonexistent or minimal.
