Caesar Salad

A Caesar salad may seem innocent, but it's actually the dressing that does all the damage.

Order a Caesar salad the next time you're at Outback Steakhouse, and you're looking at 710 calories.

If you want to drastically cut down the calories, all you need to do is make your own dressing, which replaces heavy mayonnaise with mustard, vinegar, and lemon juice instead. Personally, I like this low-fat creamy dressing recipe.

Really, any salad anywhere can be made into a smart choice if you just put the dressing on the side (why even use cream dressings anyways? gross) and hold the cheese. I say some meat on a salad is ok--gotta have that protein!
