You're asking and I'm answering...
Dear Fit,
I am usually pretty good at working out but recently I've been skipping a few days because work's been super busy. I find that on those days I get super moody... What's up with that? Is it all in my head?

Actually it is all in your head, but not the way in which you're thinking. Here's the deal, according to Peak Performance Online: Your pituitary gland (a gland located at the base of your brain) releases substantial quantities of 'endorphins' - chemicals which can block sensations of pain and produce overall feelings of euphoria - when you preform strenuous activities like running or biking. In other words, exercise makes you feel and look good, it's scientifically proven. This is why some people can get 'addicted' to exercise or feel a 'runners high'. Just like any addiction, withdrawal symptoms are normal, so don't worry. Get back on the horse treadmill as soon as you can and you're sure to be feeling great all over again.

luckily, this addiction is not bad for you!
1I also can do this as well. My commute and work sometimes wear me out. This is good to know it's not just me.
2im one of those people who is addicted to exercise when i dont do at least 30 minis a day im not a happy camper! it can be very annoying becasue i have to fit it in no matter whats on or what lengths i have to go to!
3So true, when I skip a workout I feel worn out / moody. I like going to the gym to keep my energy & mood up
4I wish I could get addicted to exercise!
5I feel guilty, but not moody, when I don't work out. The guilt is oppressive!
6ya the guilt can be horrible and then i eat crap beacsue i feel guilty and then i feel even worse its like a viscious circle so moral of story is.. just go to the gym!!

8I know that feeling. Exercise is a great stress reliever and I feel fantastic afterwards. If I don't exercise on a regular basis, I feel very guilty and that's not a good thing--I'm just cheating myself when I skip that daily workout!

10a word of caution: there are people who over do it, just like w/ anything else. i've seen people who truly do get "addicted" to exercise to the point that they work out excessively. if you're not an athelete or being advised by a professional, i think everything in moderation is key.
11Im so in a rut right now, pms really messes up my workout cycle. I feel like the week b4 period is extremely hard to maintain, and the guilt doesnt help the situation. I really feel exactly like Littlemissiemoo said, such a vicious cycle!
12i totally agree with lkandy -
13i'm glad to hear it's all not in my head, i just hate it because i totally get in this funk... grr.
